What a pleasure to hear sense being spoken instead of just hot air being blown out 👌

Sollie is the most brilliant guy. He will soon realize that DCDT should prioritize capacitating South African companies to deploy satellites instead of prioritizing foreign-owned companies to keep and control our data. Our country needs more suitable data residency and data sovereignty laws before comfortably bringing satellite companies funded by foreign governments like Starlink. Our government should fund South African companies wishing to deploy LEO satellites and capacitate locally based smartphone manufacturers.

Lower the cost of entry, like I spend a embarrassing amount of my minimum wage salary on data because I don't want to find myself offline like the time before I had access to University wifi. Which is embarrassingly the first time most black kids actually get connected
