My Average got Re-Rated Mid Tournament

During the singles set of the cornhusker state games my average was re rated from giving me 27 pins of handicap to 3 pins. But I was able to power through and collect a silver medal for the singles event.

@@3stoogesbowling yeah mid game seems weird, but maybe they did not want to disqualify you? I know in our local tournaments they always have a disclaimer that you are responsible for reporting your average if the 10 pin rule applies, some cases it is a local rule that if you average is 20 pins higher, so I guess anything goes as long as it is announced or listed in the rules....Still mid game is weird

If you averaged 260 scratch last year why should you get any handicap at all? Have you been sandbagging all year to carry a 180 average to get a higher handicap for these handicap tournaments? I've seen this happen many times. But they shouldn't be re-rating you mid tournament.

No I had averaged 230+ subbing In a league this last year, not quite sure where they found the averaged they used. I definitely should not have been given any.

It’s from the Valley Benders where you bowled 24 games and averaged 217. Sanction average is anything 21 games or more. Idk if rerated is the best wording, sounds like more they had the wrong average and then found your correct average in the middle of the tournament. Still doesn’t matter as you bowled really well. Keep on improving!
