Landing on a one way airstrip in Lesotho

Despite sounding bored that the start of this episode (which I wasn’t), I had a great time filming this inspection and approach into one of my favorite places in Lesotho: Nohana.
As we haven’t flown there in close to a year, I did a low pass of the runway before landing. As its a one way airstrip, I had to do the pass opposite to the direction of landing.
My passengers are blurred out as they are special police in Lesotho. On this day we went to 3 airstrips to pay health care workers. As we carry a lot of cash, we have protection along for the ride!

My boys used to love flying those mountains in the MAF planes back in 2006-07. Our third son Kit loved it so much he majored in aeronautical science and is currently a captain with Endeavor (Delta) Airlines. Mom and dad get flight privileges. Sweet! Thanks for the great video. Fond memories.
