If you bought the game day one or early access you could reach rank 10 in only a couple hours before they patched it. I saw lots of players under level 20 with the hellrigel. I got the martini-henry level 10 scout weapon after less than 2 hours before the patch. If I had known they would nerf class ranking I would have played more assault!
To be honest the hellreigel is better than most of the Support weapons and it is on assault. I just don't want my 10-a hunter to be nerfed. Using it since release

I think the very first weapon you have access to, the MP18, is really very strong. It might not be the best at anything but it is good at everything. Decent damage, manageable recoil, range isn't bad for an SMG. It's versatile enough to be very good. If I am playing assault and I don't know what I am going to encounter, it's my go-to.

Marmoora Looza Well, it can take you anywhere from only 6-7 hours up to 12-14 hours. depends on how good you are/ how good your team is. Mostly play the objective and be very aggressive once you get on it, I've had times where I got over 2000 points from one capture from killing a bunch of people/blowing up vehicles. This game is the fastest I've reached level 80 in any of the BF titles.
I wish the other rank 10 weapons were as rewarding. The Huot and M1906 are straight downgrades to pretty much everything that comes before them it makes no sense.

I like the Automatico better than the Hellrigel in close quarters but id take the Hellrigel when the engagement distances get longer. If only the Automatico could get an extended mag and a grip or something it would definitely be the best assault gun imo.

Are you kidding me? If you aren't accurate you will get destroyed when using a shotgun... if anything they need just as much precision as a sniper rifle if you want to do well with them.
That's probably because the shotguns have insane pellet spread, meaning you *have* to aim if you want to hit your targets; hitting slightly off the center will cause you do do under 100 damage.
Desert DeFox you actually do. I've had many times where I shoot someone point blank and it only does 7 to 14 damage because my shot was off. you really do need to be accurate
The shotguns drive me nuts in this game. There's times where I get 1 shots that don't seem fair as he points out here, and there are other times where they just seem to fail me completely. The most significant memory is coming across a guy while I was at full health who was about 12-15 m away, getting 1 shot off on him while his center mass was dead center in my circle, before getting mowed down by his mediocre mp 18 and seeing that he had 88 life left in the kill cam. That means I did 12 damage to him with a center shot at 15m or less. That's an 8 shot kill at 15 meters... So frustrating.
They should just move the Hellriegel to the support class, and maybe give Medic access to the shotguns? My reasoning behind that is if you're reviving in close quarters or passing out health in a small enclosed area, they could be more helpful than a DMR.
And is it just me, or is there less squad-play in this game? I've only played about three hours, but I'm yet to receive a single Squad order, or even really see any squads supporting each other.
The balance is garbage tier but it doesn't really matter because of how hard the classes counter each other at different ranges, and how generally chaotic the game is. You could have the fucking Halo CE pistol, and it still wouldn't save you from getting blown up, gassed, shot or burnt.
I'm on the PS4 as well and I get REALLY tired of getting killed by the MP18 idk why everyone uses it, the only good variant is the experimental and I don't ever get killed by that gun

The only problem with the Model 10-A Hunter for me is it seems really inconsistent. I'll one shot people from 15-20 feet away no problem but then I'll put 2 shells in someone 5 feet away from me and they'll take 45 damage
I wish they put at least 1 ranged rifle in the assault class. When you wanna take tanks out but you have no range to fight soldiers, it can be frustrating.
the MP-18 can be a light DMR and an SMG at the same time. that is your super long Range option. the MP-18 is one of the most Accurate Weapons in the game.

Model 10-A Hunter is by a mile my most used (closing in on 500 kills) and favorite weapon. It has given me some truly amazing streaks, and I really hope they don't nerf it :))
The automatico is disgustingly good. Using the hipfire model, I have had a K/D of at LEAST 2 pretty much every game, and I am a fairly average player. Even at ranges that I would have trouble with a medic rifle, this gun hipfire-kills. It makes the game feel like SW Battlefront.
I find that the automatico storm variant does fine at medium range, as for the trench it's a different story. But the storm can take out any medium range just fine.
Hellreigel is fine how it is a reward for the grind because it is a level 10 weapon. I grinded for about a week to get it. Every other class have a range advantage over the assault class because assaulters need to close the gap which a lot of the maps have open spaces.

Automatico trench is my go to weapon. By God it shreds everyone, even hipfiring targets at 20+ meters.
I get my best kill rates with this gun, especially on the jungle map. I gasmask at spawn and don't have to think about it
