It’s just funny to me that “IF” the Em verse does really dis Joe, why is that ok for Em to do? Joe, critiqued Em’s song but never disrespected him. Now with that being said, I get the point Joe should go to Em and give him his critique in person if they’re that close or just out of professional curtesy. But to be honest we don’t know the full extent of their personal/professional relationship and how close they are. But Joe as of now is a hip hop media personality and “commentator” shouldn’t he be given the professional curtesy and respect of doing his job without it being personal? In my opinion Joe did nothing wrong and I agree with his opinion, Em album is mid-grade and a couple of the songs are trashhhhh!! And that Trump freestyle was cringe, message and gesture was dope but delivery was Trash and so were some of the bars. Em’s New remix was fire, tho!!

I'm about Joes age... been a hiphop head my entire life. Am I the only one that feels Em has 2 great albums (sslp mmlp), past that he has some great records... I like Em but idk why cats have put him up on this huge pedestal.

Chad I have similar thoughts, but I think Eminem Show was his best as he proved he could be just as great without being shocking. The only album of his I've really liked since then is MMLP2. I think people with less knowledge of hip hop think Eminem is untouchable lyrically, when there are just as good and better lyricists out there, they just don't have pop appeal or marketing machines behind them.
I agree. He has a cancer type of fanbase.
Because em can rap in nearly every style well, and do everything from. Hip Hop sounding records to the rock rap ones....
However I don't think Eminem made music for the most part to compete with other artists, but instead with himself. Listen to when he talked about encore Eminem has intentionally tried to make his albums be different from one another. If you just look at the first 2 they are very different from one another. Look at 2 & 3 different 3 & 4, 4& 5 and on they are all different so if your taste in music doesn't suite what he does of course you won't like it.
Some enjoy old Eminem, and I do, but I think new Eminem is a superior rapper.
