Before the full support was out, i tried to play Unchained with other cards to compensate the missing ones. I played the field spell "Ecole De Zone" to pop my and my opponents first card that gets summoned to the field. I played "Graydle Eagle" to destroy it with Aruha and take control of my opponents monster and i like "Sauge De Fleur" a lot because she can pop two of mine cards or one of mine and my opponents. When i started MD after along break from YGO, my first competetive deck was Tearlament and later i played it together with Unchained. Now that the full support is there, it's time to make another Unchained/Tearlament deck even though with Merrli gone it's not as consistent as before. Thank you for the deck list and break down because this helps me to figure it more out in order to combine it with other archetypes, i already have a couple of ideas what to do with them.
I’ve been playing this deck for a few months now looking for a new archetype in Master Duel. I got a few of them from the Fire Kings pack and tried doing something there but found I liked immediate payoff more than the Fire King’s floating effects. Deck has been kinda jank and it’s nice to see some good advice about what to possibly add and what to take out.
@@semisolaire5866 if babies locked you in dinos as well. Also a Miscellaneoarchfiend would make people outrage for emergency ban, same with a Warrior, Cyberse and god forbid Dragon equivalent.
@@ThanosSonOfElarsI have the deck fully completed and it wasn’t really expensive at all outside of like 6 extra deck URs and a few staple handtraps but most URs in the deck are crafted anyways from use in other decks
I mean it was my first deck period and MD is my first way of playing yugioh yes it’s been in the game but the new support makes it relevant and more playable is what I meant
I know it can be a brick but i also play dimension gaurdian occasionally and equip it to fiendish rhino and all my monsters cannot be destroyed by battle or card effect until the remove the trap first then remove rhino, then go after tge rest of my monsters. Annoying to pull off but when it does its kinda cool
If you don't wanna shell out UR points for Tour Guide (or you don't wanna dedicate space in your deck to Rhino Warrior who is not a starter) Phantom Skyblaster also works though not quite as well.
- First of all, if you believe Ceasar should be banned, then sure right after Apollo, Baronne, Savage and even IP (making SP fair) since they are MORE generic and more powerful. - Second, just like Unchained flopped hard in OCG due to Maxx C, I believe a wombo combo approach like this will also make it flop in MD. While I do agree on an extender like Requiem or Tour Guide (the one card combo), I believe running both requires too much space and should probably stick to just one. - Due to the above I want to experiment with Droplet, Bystials and Rollback instead. Bystials remove IP from the Snake end board which is the biggest issue while they can bait the omni negate from the synchro variant, Droplet can do the same. Rollback on the other hand is there for a free discard for Abo/Uni + free destruction fodder (Aruha/Rakea/Sharvara/Shyama) enabling you to use the trap Sharvara will get offensively (either the special or pop) before you reset it. - Third, lvl8 Abo is NOT a brick. In TCG you can chainblock twins floating from negation (that doesn't remove) eternally making Apollo/Savage/Regulus a joke since the summon is HOPT but neither effect is. Here unfortunately you can't chainblock, but dropping it on the same chain (CL3 this time due to private knowledge trigger effects) can at the very least bait stuff and it happens in damage step where very few cards can interact. - Finally, Apollo is winmore and opens you to Talent take being even worse, I would prefer a 2nd Caesar instead. And if Tour Guide isn't run, Tell doesn't offer that much utility (it's there for a Big Zeus under Shifter and mostly for Kash but Unchained handles both pretty well).
- I don't think caesar should be banned right now. I just feel Caesar would've been a far better hit than Sharvara... Sharvara at 1 is what nuked this deck into a very fragile bricky deck... Meanwhile caesar is the somewhat toxic floodgate that pushed unchained over the edge... Had they banned caesar, unchained would've still been a real deck but with cool interactive back 'n forth with sharvara constantly letting you dodge and lots of pushes... (and let's be clear here... IP and SP are not more powerful than caesar) - I agree 3 Rakea might be better for the maxx c type of metagame. But with 3 rakea, tour guide becomes too many normal summons, so probably the DDD package then (especially since it also is the followup from caesar). My main reason for going for 3 tour guide here is that with prosperity at 1, I felt the deck lacked solid starters and tour guide being the only 1-card combo ensured we still maximized the ability to play. - While I love breakers in this deck, we are not reliably breaking the pure snake eye board with them... if we just let them play, they WILL have full board backed up by non engine and we simply aren't breaking it... We'd need an opponent that's ass or we'd need to get very lucky. I'm not a fan of that. Rollback being yet another brick until we're able to play is also not something I'm a fan of. - Yes, obviously lvl8 abo is crazy good when you're already playing, but if a card is not starting or single-handedly generating a push as an extender, I consider it a brick. The worst unchained hands are the ones filled with requiem, shyama, abom, fiendish rhino (and disaster). Obviously if you got a hand full of pushes, abom makes that hand even crazier, but the reality of this deck is that abom makes the good hands great but the bad hands awful. - I can see how apo could be seen as win-more. As I mentioned in the vid, it's definitely the most cut-able slot.
@@solemnyugioh - I dare say Sharvara wasn't hit for the power of the deck but just like SHS because the core as 5$ before support came and everyone already had them ready thus not getting sales for new product. - Caesar can't deal with Fenrir/Kash in general, backfires hard against Talent take, loses to books, requires non-generic materials. While I get the point, IP/SP is incredibly more versatile and resistant to removal while offering grind game as well as abusing floating effects making it a no-contest in the end. That's why 1 costed 100$ while the other 5$ because even with a more limited deck pool Caesar had only 1 print and would easily skyrocket if it were that broken. - I'm currently testing without Tour Guide (or Tell) and I don't have that brick issue. - In master 1 now after 7 games I didn't have an issue breaking the snake board and OTKing, although m1 is a bit for the memes and master 2 is the really competitive rank. I get the point and I agree, it must be variance favoring me a bit. - About 2 Rollback, with 3 Rakea/Aruha I didn't find it a brick, even got to Zeus it once then revive an Unchained to make MP2 plays. - Bystials were very useful. Thinking of bumping them from 3. I currently play 1 each TTT + Daruma as an alternative target. - Maxx C is horrible, I can't believe how bad it is now that I played with this. I typically choose a deck that either plays well into it (Lab/Tear) or ignores it (Mannadium/Infernoble) and if you lose the minigame chances are you lose. - Abo is hurt quite a bit by OCG rulings but still with the maxed out trap lineup you can get some value since Knightmare Phoenix and Accesscode are the prime removal options and SP is missing.

It's why it's been great in so many decks throughout the ages, BUT if ANY top deck could choose between putting an IP or a caesar on their board without any other changes in context, they would choose caesar every single time. @@solemnyugioh after the hype dies down people will realize fiendsmith requires 7 main deck slots and at least 4 extra deck slots (or 3 bodies for moon goddess + 1 fiendsmith). Personally I doubt Caesar is worth that much space and unless a deck wants this engine for other purpose as well, they won't run it.
You cannot make underworld goddess with unchained soul of Rage effect. it literally says in the card "by using ONLY that opponent's monster and this card you control" underworld goddess requires 4 + monsters to make. one of your favorite decks includes an illegal play?
As someone who got into unchained because of Yubel in the current TCG format I am looking forward to really get into the deck now on MD. Great video as always!
I am absolutely sick & tired of being forced to play Ash Blossom & Maxx C. Ash is okay, I appreciate the card overall but Maxx C makes the game very boring lately. Idk why it's still legal.
I like the OCG lists going for triple Rakea instead of Dark Contract Package. You play one less brick and open up 2 main deck slots for non-engine or you play more unchained spell/traps. Rakea plays much better into Maxx C compared to DC being your starter.

It's fiend dinos. All the 3s are the baby, but once per turn. The s/t are also the baby and sarama is oviraptor. The deck has no misc.

Except for tour guide, it’s all 2 card combos so pot is quite important yes

Woops, you are right! It's something that didn't tend to come up because you don't tend to have the bodies for it, but my mind assumed it's possible.
Also Underworld Goddess is light attribute.

That was back when kash was making shangri-ira so you could make a free arise on top of your fenrir. Not relevant now.
