It's actually kind of uncertain about how big Giganotosaurus actually was. By most recent estimates it was longer and taller than T-Rex, but it was more lightly built and thus weighed about the same. Paleontology is hard.
Bigger or not, great fun to watch a Fooster hunt them. 👍

Fooster, that shotgun holds 8 shots! If you didn't keep reloading after only 2 shots, then you wouldn't have to worry about getting your booty eaten by raptors and you wouldn't have to panic! 😂 Very great video though! Keep up the great work!
The lower right confused me and I was in pure fear 😐
I kinda thought that might've been the case, because it has the two shotgun shell symbols all the way to the right, but just to the left of that it Says 8/138 which is your ammo count. Which means 8 shells in the gun out of 138 bullets left altogether. At least now maybe you won't have to panic so much lol. I can't wait for the next video. I would love to see you bring fisk along and watch him get in pure panic as well. It's always hilarious when you two get together!

I can 100% confirm that a 50 cal rifle is LOUD. I have a relative who has one and we went shooting at various objects that were leaning on a steep hill, like old pans, bottles and large fruit. It kind of sounds like a large firework boom, you know like one of the extra large ones. I shot a watermelon. I was wearing a set of earmuffs that block loud sounds and the boom was still crazy loud. What's even crazier is feeling the pressure change. If you're close enough to the gun when it's fired, in our case right behind the current shooter, you can feel the pressure change hit your face. The best way I can describe it is by comparing it to ears popping but all over the face for a split second, if that makes any sense.

I wanted to share a little bit of the knowledge I have on dinosaurs. Because it's something I love.
Ok. So scientists use weight to determine which animal is "bigger" which is why the green Anaconda is often called the largest snake in the world. Even though the reticulated python reaches longer average sizes. The Anaconda weighs more. So. The T rex is estimated to be nearly twice as heavy as the Giganatosuarus. Nearly the same height and length. So T rex is still king.

Actually no that’s not how it works. The average Rex barely exceeded 7 tonnes some were even smaller than bush elephants. While THE BIGGEST current record holder “RECORD HOLDER” not average is about 9.4 tonnes. The average gigas are about 7 to 8 tonnes we do not know the max estimate due to fewer fossils. We do have many T.Rex fossils because the meteorite cocked any scavengers that might’ve been able to damage the carcass. Gigas died out before that so it’s rare to find enough. However on average they’re longer and higher but built slimmer which is why they do not weigh much despite their length. As for the biggest theropod of all time that one is still spinosaurous. It’s length and weigh estimates surpass that of any known theropod. We still don’t know their max hight estimates because spinofarus is still not even its final form lol.

All my childhood nightmares in a nutshell summed up in the intro. 'Being chased by a dino, with nowhere to hide'. I used to hide under my blanket as a child, with the pretense that if I can't see it, it can't see me 😂. Oh my heart tensed up sending shivers down my spine. 😅 All those memories.
Being a scared child and denying the already learned concept of object permanence is such a common childhood memory lol. I did the same thing

Fooster, you need to see Kentucky Ballistic’s new video that dropped 12 hours ago… “The 4 Bore”… I suspect that rifle could knock the T-Rex over sideways and inside-out with one shot. It’s a rifle that shoots a 1.0 caliber - not a typo. It’s a full one inch in diameter - 2.54 cm. The .50 caliber is 1/2 inch. It makes the .700 double-piss itself in fear.

Gigas are only slightly longer and "larger" than a rex. But a rex has more weight and mass to it.

I hope they make a mechanic in the game where the predators are attracted to the light from any artificial source. Making running around at night with a flashlight a near absolute death sentence.
Horrifying
I always thought that would be a good idea for a zombie survival horror game like resident evil or state of decay. A game play mechanic which forces you to think twice about using a flashlight in the dark would be so cool. Maybe even a blinding effect if you're in the dark and you turn a flashlight on shining it in an enemy's face which buys you an extra second or two. There are so many things they can do with video games that could make it more immersive.

I know these are (at least?) a year old, but I've finally gotten down to watching them. The Jurassic Park tributes to Robert Muldoon and Roland Tembo are spot on, and awesome, especially because both of these brilliant actors have passed at this point. Roland calls it "The Bull" T-Rex in "The Lost World"

GIga was bigger in length and height than the T-rex, marginally, but T-rex was *significantly* bulkier than the Giga, outweighing it by multiple tons.

I know most people don't like it but I'd be stoked to see a hunting game with half-decent damage effects. Most of these games feel like paintball, minus the paint.
With real damage effects. Might not even be a challenge anymore. Ain't no t rex gonna shrug off 50 cal bullets to the leg like it's nothing.
Yeah, I've never played this particular game but in general game devs never seem to comprehend the damage a firearm can inflict to specific body parts, especially rifles, I've yet to see a game that has a decent damage system that reflects real life. I'd like to see a game that simulates skeletal hits, for instance being able to break the legs of your target would create an interesting dynamic. A .50 BMG would put a T-rex on the ground for the rest of it's short life with a shot to it's leg, even if it missed bone and passed through, a .50 BMG has enough sauce to kill just about any living thing that has ever lived on this planet...
@@Darkstormsun9865especially military rounds. It’s hard to say though, if you use a penetrating round it does less damage. I feel like they’d make rounds similar to how tanks would. Built to penetrate then explode. Could have it get through and mushroom.

actually the rex ai is a little broken. u can just run to his side and when he bites, u can fire at him close range after he misses. Killed a couple of rex with the revolver this way😅

Dude, you gotta use the shotgun on anything up close. The damage is low but that is PER pellet and it shoots several pellets per shot, so up close, you will hit with all the pellets and do a ton of damage.

It bugs me when game devs make me put another round in the chamber each time I get a firearm out. Somehow it never loses any ammo either. So VERY realistic!!!

From what I've seen the T-Rex was bigger than the Giga, they say the Giga was a bit taller/ longer but didn't weigh as much.
So a 6ft HW(T- Rex) vs a 6ft 1 LHW (Giga) the HW is considered bigger
yes, Muldoon does use a spas 12 in the movie, but the book is wildly different and he actually uses a custom rpg, where he survives and kills the raptors.

This game super heavily reminds me of the hunter primal, a game which I adored and spent many hours on even tho it got abandoned! I might have to pick this up
Its a god damn shame that they abandoned that game. The hunter classic and the hunter call of the wild are both great games. I don’t understand why they gave up on the hunter primal. Hell I have been campaigning for years now for them to make a new map for COTW that has dinosaurs because of the hunter primal. Its not like people didn’t want to play it. There might be hope yet though because they took down the hunter primal from steam. There was zero reason to do so other than potentially working on a new game. On that note what is this game? It looks fun
@@garretthorsch8143 it’s defo a shame, the reason they removed it from steam I’d imagine is so it either doesn’t tempt people, or to hide that they abandoned a project - the thing is primal was incredibly good, essentially the hunter classic but dinosaurs instead it was awesome! Super well made and enjoyable even when they left it, it wouldn’t have taken them too much to make it into a full game because the foundation was there!

Fooster, when people say the giga is larger than the rex, they mean height, the rex weighs more by far and is not slim, the giga can sometimes be only slightly taller (by 1 foot or so.) and is wayyyy slimmer than a rex. Gigas are usually shorter than the average rex.
