This was far and away one of the best presented videos of this important issue I have seen on UA-cam. Deserves to go viral. Well done.

Hi byram101 it had been 3 years since you wrote that comment. There is only 17000 viewing since posted. Most entertainment UA-camrs on movies and streaming usually reach 100 of thousands views in few days.... It is pointless

This is so incredibly phenomenal. I am absolutely furious that I have not seen this until 2yrs after it was posted. Social media is both a blessing and a curse and that's all I'll say about that. To be able to say, quite eloquently, that it is the intangible that we need while we satiate ourselves with the tangible is beyond profound. When we stopped recess in schools, when we decided it was not about the individual child when we talked about no child left behind, and when we speak of saving our world by only acknowledging our CURRENT shortcomings or personal agendas we marginalize the entire human race. Suddenly it is the entire human race that is so unworthy and that does not help the problem at all. To be such social creatures we have forgotten what healthy social behavior looks like. Very nice video

This is what I have been struggling to put into words for the past 7 to 8 years. Thank you for this lesson, you're helping many people identify the root of some of their life problems. Keep up the great work!

It's not that those necessities are immeasurable but deliberately overlooked rather due to the lack of profitable avenues. Happiness index is one a step forward, for instance, even though it still leaves a lot to be desired. Science is way more powerful than we imagine in its ability to probe human feelings. It's just that the system wants it to remain superficial.

Too many think the next best thing will satisfy. Advertising and consumerism has convinced us that it can supply our deepest desire. I imagine most folks here will scoff, but my deepest desire is to know God, trust Him, and rest in Him. That's when I feel most fulfilled. So you understand, it is not religion, or following laws. It is about the grace He has given me in Jesus. This is a wonderdul video, hope it makes many pause and think. Thank you.

I would tell you how great that was and how you hit the nail on the so to speak, that your connections made were enlightening and how obviously you truly care. But I didn't! So make more and I will applaud them all at the final finish. I will give you deep , thank you though.

You voice everything I ever wished to, and just bring out almost the most truth possible over this kind of media.
And the lack of recognition is a sad reflection of humanity's collective state.

Indian Chief Two Eagles was asked by a white U.S. offical... "You have observed the white man for 90 years. You have seen his wars and his technological advances. You have seen his progress and the damage he has done."
    The Chief nodded in agreement.
The offical continued, "Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?"
The Chief stared at the offical and then replied. "When white man find land, Indian running it! No taxes, no debt, plenty of Buffalo, plenty of Beaver and clean water. Woman do all the work, medicine man free! Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing. All night having sex."
Then the Chief leaned back and smiled saying... "Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that!"

Instead of blamming society as society is the bi-product of capitalism. Fix the system and the rest falls into place intodays times each one of us us resource for the capitalist driven by greed and profits and the exploitation of others

Good video but perhaps falling for the Noble Savage fantasy so common with anthropology majors. Been to the Masai Mara and the Masai live in dung-covered thatched huts crawling with insects. They are pastoralists who consistently overgraze the grasslands with their cattle.

I like the general sentiment, but the idea that we lost the immeasurable is nonsensical. How do we know that we've lost it? There are many things other than lack of authenticity, connectedness, etc. that will make humans feel empty. Perhaps we have evolved to feel unfulfilled as an evolutionary bias for action. So even if we had connectedness we would soon need more.

First you are not wrong that we still need to improve our world for all humans.
But the fact that humans are still not satisfied does not negate the achievements we have made. To throw them aside like they are worthless achievements without realizing that you can only have this "hole" you need filled because childhood mortality is no longer 50% (middle ages estimated childhood mortality); these holes pale compared to that number. Yes the changes are imperfect and some of them also do harm. Some are not needed. But to pretend what you are complaining about equals the horrors so many people used to endure on a daily basis is sad.
