Wonderful classic movies of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s are my bedtime relaxer. I settle down to a great movie with fabulous stars and an intense plot and within minutes I am totally enthralled.

Whirlpool is an excellent movie. Tierney was superb in her role. And ofcourse she looked very beautiful in this movie. Richard Conte is not doubt a classic actor.
This is so trippy. i feel as if i'm watching a Miguel Ferrer film. When i saw José's name in the credits, i immediately thought of Miguel and found out that Rosemary Clooney was his mother! It really is all about the bloodline in Hollywood. Everyone in Hollywood is connected in some intimate way. While looking into Rosemary Clooney, i discovered that George Clooney is a direct descendant of Abraham Lincoln. It's simply fascinating! . .. and a little disturbing.
Fantastic movie. One of my favorite directors, one of the greatest. Impressive camera work, photography, acting, use of music, etc. But has a weak point, no jury, no half clever policemen would believe that woman could have strangled her without a fight and even with a fight, and no signs of it, if she had stabbed , well yes, and the end is another weak point. Anyway any movie by Preminger is worth watching. In my opinion he’s somehow underrated, a true genius, that’s too obvious, why it is a different matter.
1st comment deleted. Guess I jumped the gun. Shes still beautiful with a great figure though. I engadged alot of beautiful women in my day with deep rooted personality disorders made aware later down the line.
I saw a beautiful pin one time at Boston store here in Milwaukee. They’re no longer around, but I wondered if I walked in there and took some jewelry where they had handled it the same way by the way, I am an African-American woman so do your own conclusion.
Oh this 1..didnt like it. She thinks 🤔 that she can do what shes wantss..only in the MOVIES LOLLLLL Now the heavy come out ferroo not like in my MOVIES DIDN'T LIKE IT AT ALLLL...NEXT PLS..

This was excellent. Tierney should have got an award. The writing was sharp. It was spellbinding and Whirlpool was the perfect title. Thank you 🌹

Yes, yes, yes... they were Miguel's parents.
Tom Hanks is also a descendant of Lincoln through Lincoln's mother, Nancy Hanks.
Thanks for sharing that.
What a great movie, also Gene Tierney, wonderful.

Ha! Thanks for watching.
Gene was a YUMMY. I feel she was even more beautiful in this film than in Laura and Leave her to heaven.

A young Conti who went on to star as the gangster Barzini in the Godfather series. Tierney..loved her in Leave Her To Heaven.
Roger that. Welcome.
Conte.
Thankyou 🎉
Welcome.
Isn't possible for Tierney to have the strength to strangle a chicken let alone a full grown woman.
Good point. Thanks for watching.
Our well to do Granny was a kleptomaniac. The shop owner would simply call on the house and present Grandpa with a bill.
😅😅 I shouldn't laugh, it was how you put it..sorry it can be really serious in some families...

I like the classics.😊👍

Como se dice en Francès, Tourbillon?

Richard Conte WAS a limited B+ -list
Roger that. Thanks for watching.

This plot influenced two Columbo episodes: one with Martin Landau and the other with George Hamilton.
Thanks for the info!
Much obliged.

What a horrible person that man was up to hypnotize and manipulate someone like that. Great movie!

I love this movie
Glad you enjoyed it!

A bit too trite at the end. Why rush it?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Her prison attire was interesting, black A line dress and high heels! Well dress for a prisoner!
Roger that. Thanks for watching.
Seeing the name Otto P is enough. And José Ferrer.
Roger that. Thanks for watching.
Unrealistic story. No woman msrried to a man with Richard conte's looks would leave him for a hypnotist
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
How naive are you? 😁😂🤣. An infatuated woman would leave a wealthy husband who paid attention to her. Money can’t purchase everything
The point is no woman would leave a man with Richard contest looks. Nothing to do with money here. Richard Conte is drop dead gorgeous.❤
Gene Tierney. “The Razor’s Edge”. ❤❤❤❤❤. On UA-cam.

Why is it that in American films of this period show married couples sleeping in separate beds?
It was a rule at the time to portray decency standards of the time which later changed
People didn't have sex in the forties.
The Hays Code.
Actually depending on class and not intimacy marriages…
couples sleep in different rooms…this is still very common…
🇮🇹😊
