Luxury Brands Crackdown on Instagram Content

- Instagram continues to get worse for luxury content creators on the platform. Major brands including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, and YSL appear to be pressuring Instagram (Meta) to remove content and even shut down accounts of customers + fans of the brands who share photos & videos of authentic items they purchased. In this video, I share some updates on what's been happening with my account, navigating Meta Verified, and how I've been able to avoid further content problems. Plus, share examples of other Instagram influencers who have experienced similar issues.

This is not even a trademark issue, it’s obviously a neurological issue because THEY ARE SO STUPID TO DO THIS 😪 yes let’s alienate your paying audience in the time of price increases and rampant quality issues. Sure.

These brands are absolute losers. They are about to alienate a large part of their customer base… in a few years they’ll be crying about low sales. The irony is that some of them were sending bags to influencers to promote them…
Having seen many accounts peddling new counterfeit items pop up from time to time, I wonder if this is an attempt to go after the fakes, but in doing so even people posting content with authentic items are being negatively impacted. When I attempted to report those accounts, I noticed that there wasn't anything to select to state that they're selling counterfeit items, so perhaps they should have an option that specifically alerts them to combat this problem.

I have no issue despite tagging the brand even if it’s a post of just the bag. But my posts are about my travels so it differs with views, food, me and my companions, and the bag if it’s a remembrance/souvenir of that particular trip. But that would likely be because I’m obviously not a reseller. My small following are just my friends and associates. I rarely made post on handbags.
I stopped putting in brand name tags hashtags and have had no issues since then. still using photos with no issue

@@sunshinefashionlove maybe! I was getting a lot taken down when I had hashtags, but I would ask for review and they would go back up and stay almost immediately
I had a few posts taken down in november, but since then I've stopped using hashtags, mentioning the brand (even abbreviated) or tagging them & so far so good (knock on wood). But I'm still terrified to post in case they deactivate my account as I've put in years of work 😢
Same, there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for which accounts they shut down!
There is no reason legal or otherwise to remove these photos or Instagram to do any action, also even if you resel that is your perogative and they can't do didely squat about it .. ...
Honestly verified tag when it is paid to me means nothing...
But honestly LV is bs.....
