What makes this more emotional is that it was actually from December 2022 around the time Hi Ren came out - they just put it out on July. So at that point Hi Ren was not what it is now and can't imagine his own emotions at that time. Thank-you for all you do and I hope all things fall in place for yourself!

It was actually a couple of weeks before the video was released. So no one knew what Hi Ren was going to become.
Loved your reaction - your bright spirit comes right through the screen and elevates mine in turn 😊 - and thank you for also including some of your original reaction clips too! It is absolutely on the list. I’m eager to get to it, I just haven’t felt mentally up to the task. I know it’s gonna be a hard one simply because I’ve heard it’s PACKED, and while I’ve avoided any spoilers, I obviously can guess the general vibe and message from the tone of the album as a whole.
At first I didn’t feel like I was in a safe enough headspace to tackle something so intense, and right now (after my latest video update about having to go back to inpatient ED treatment), I don’t think my brain would be able to keep up with it. But rest assured, it WILL be done just as soon as I feel able to tackle it.💕

My struggles feel so small when I compare them with the likes of yours or Rens, but I am struggling and I can’t seem to pull myself out of it many days. Small actions from good people, like your reply here, offer me a buffer from the very critical self talk and are thus, very very appreciated.

Beautiful, Becca! A year later and we are still struggling, still having our doubts and fears, still trying to cope with our human condition. Yet...and somehow...it feels as if we are making at least some progress, that amidst all these hardships there is also joy, also beauty, also love in this world. Becca, I love the difference in this live performance from the one take. I totally agree that he has a newfound confidence level here that is so evident. The way he performs at KoKo which is an institution in London is full of confidence and panache. He controls and carries the audience along with him and holds them completely gripped; and by the end holds them in the palm of his hand. He must have practiced this so many times to make this delivery look so effortless. The fact that his voice doesn’t crack with emotion during the sung ‘Oo’ section shows his performance ability and perfectionism. In some ways it is a less emotionally driven performance than the original, yet it looses none of its impact, brilliance and intensity for that. Power on Becca your light is a shining beacon, just like Ren’s.

I know your list of REN songs you want to react to is long.
I want to give more context, but I running short on energy so will keep it brief: I actually heard that song when I watch the documentary shortly after it was made public. I remember even looking up the lyrics to it, but I hadn’t thought about it since, so while I remember hearing it, I don’t remember anything specifically about it.
That said, I definitely plan on doing a reaction to it, because it will essentially be a first reaction since I don’t remember any specifics, I just haven’t had a chance yet. Thanks for continuing to put it on my radar.💕
