I'm glad I'm not the only one who cried watching encanto. It remnided me of Black families and generational curses. The grandma was pretending every thing was ok and even disowned her son because he spoke the truth. She traumatized her kids because she was traumatized and it unfortunately would've kept going if not Mirabel.

Beautiful. I have a question 🤔 I see you start your hair with a twist then add hair like a knotless twist. Do your puff up at any time and if not how do you keep it from doing so? When I simply twist my hair for a twist out my roots get puffy before I take them out or sometimes they just get loose at the roots
Hey gorgeous!!! That’s a great question. I don’t get puffy roots if I make sure to keep everything tight. So when I start the twist I make sure it’s nice a tight then add in the hair tight by installing it similar to rope twist. That typically keeps the root tight but it will loosen up in more of a natural way so it looks like it’s coming out the scalp.

Awwww hey heyyy!! #disneygyals. Honestly anything in the moana, soul, animated new movies have gotten me. I’m a old Disney head so I’m a little mermaid (1,2,3) girl through and through. But I also think old Disney channel movies were it!!

I feel like more manipulation = more tangling. But it you make sure to kinda separate your hair even without product so they don’t start to clump it isn’t too bad. Especially around the ends. Higher up where there’s more friction I would say is more prone to tangle

It’s been more than a week. And so far I’d say the ends aren’t tangling at all. I think because it’s separated by each twist. The strands can get a little caught on the Marley twist that are further up but it’s not matted. Just different hair texture types mixing. It’s still holding its curl perfectly. I thought I’d have to recurl it but it’s holding up well. Definitely stand by my statement. I shall be doing this is all sorts of versions 😭
