You dont just mash buttons, you methodically mash buttons cuz you kinda have an idea of what the combos are but arent entirely sure
Or you're playing V and just mashing X and Y (or Square and Triangle) while wakling back and forth a little bit and watching SSS roll in. V is easy mode in this game xD I tended to groan internally a little bit when the game forced me to play Nero every now and then x)
Except with V, then you're just mashing buttons while occasionally doing something on purpose.

@@Rafael-rn6hn Well mainly, it's just because, out of the three characters, Nero has the weakest offensive moveset and limited combos, the only thing that makes it bearable is Exceed. It was like that in DMC4, when it switched to Dante it was like the game become 3 times easier. (Unless you were one of those buster spammer, shame on you)
@@redshirt49 Nero's moveset is smaller than Dante's, but the addition of Devil Breakers in 5 does a lot to spice things up. Personally when I play as Nero, I combine trying to switch up how I use the Breaker button while trying to stay in the air with Nero. With the Exceed and Max-Act mechanic thrown in, I'm also keeping my attention on the Rev bar so that I can go to capitalize on those Exceed levels in the middle of whatever combo I'm running at the time. All that combined never leaves me bored.

The customisation aspects and robotic arm thing was alittle out there but the gameplay more then makes up for it.. That's one thing capcom delivers really well that and story

It's odd that for a backseat gamer she knows so much about games. And also has a preference for safe mainstream kinds of games, kinda like what women tend to have.

This part had me literally in tears from laughter since I do the same thing and my GF launched a freaking slipper into me because I woke her up 3 times while fighting Vergil. I guess she's also not a big fan of getting woken up by "YEAH TAKE THAT B**CH!" when I manage to use Royal Guard properly

I don’t think she necessarily needed to do that. You are allowed to dislike a design philosophy that other people enjoy and express that potentially unpopular opinion out loud. There is also understanding the context for why design choices are made even if they are outside your personal preference.

@@dudescrawny5859 I'm addicted to trickster because I like dodging but I'm slowly incorporating Royal Guard in to my reportoire. I think I spent a whole playthrough of the Dante levels forcing myself to replace trickster with Royal Guard. It feels WAY better to get a perfect guard on Urizen than dodging his moves like holy shit JUDGEMENT NUT levels of good

I've had so much fun with this game and the unlockable "cutscenes" where the mo cap actors play their roles for a storyboard concept and it is the best!

OH GOD I second Nier Automata. BEST narrative game of all time in my opinion. It makes the writing (not execution) of Last of Us look like a flaming pile of dog doody, and I LOVE last of us.

It’s amazing, I’ve played every single DMC, including DmC. And my favorite character, Vergil is back and even more badass if that’s even possible. I hope they make a Vergil dlc.

DOOM 2016: The most time I’ve ever spent wandering around doing nothing in a high-octane action game.
I finished that a couple of days ago, great game! Though, I am not enjoying how grindy some of these achievements are, nuh uh

Sure, you can mash... on normal, but if you want that SSS on hard or Dante Must Die it's advanced precision hand gymnastics.
And Dante does it all without smoking or drinking. What a cool wahoo pizza man.
Dante doest all that and he only need Pizza and strawberry sundae, (if you watched the DMC anime you know that)

@@chilledgordeaux7136 so you miss a few things of the story, how lady and trish first met, patty and Morrison characters that they are in DMC5 aswell , but the anime is only good with dub by Reuben Langdon voice as dante , without the dub dante is not charismatic like the games, and one more thing vergil photo as a child

@@theesengovender1870 I have studied a lot of art history, and can tell you that the word you are looking for is Gesamtkunstwerk ("total work of art") and that I find it isn't the main decider of what makes a work compelling. Focusing on the media used to communicate over what is actually being communicated is missing the forest for the trees.

@@igorthelight Less forgiving combat, though. DMC you can power through, make mistakes, and just count on a timely devil trigger to keep you going. Bayonetta crumples like wet paper the first time anything connects with her, so your evasion game has to be much more on point.

i want Hol up a minute merch! Please? Also, i am constantly impressed, enthralled, and enjoying that intentionally or not, Girlfriend is learning as we the audience learn in kind. I'm a hardcore gamer, and not one video from here left me not knowing something new, and having learned something I valued learning. This is something 95% of the channels I watch fail to have ever done. Yet Girlfriend Reviews does it while being entertaining as hell and leaving me desperately wanting more. This is why I Patron this channel. Also, she talks to her Patrons in discord on a very regular basis, despite their being several hundred of us.
