Jay, just had GT2 league race at Paul Riccard in KTM. Didn't have a setup so used your Red Bull setup as is and adjusted tire pressures. Ran contstant 56's for both a 40 and 35 minute stint (fuel/tyre change in-between) and got me a podium. Gripped like a champion and minimal tyre wear. Can't wait to tweak it properly for PR. It must be fantastic on RBR and I will report back. Hope you're doing well and look forward to have a run with again soon. ILOVE68

That’s great to hear… I often use the same setup on other circuits but just tweak the odd setting. Makes sense if you ask me. Glad to hear it helped you pickup a podium… Hopefully catch you online for some wheel to wheel combat.
Thanks for the comment as always 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Hi Jay, glad your enjoying yourself, being a second class citizen it'll be a month or two until the dlc drops for me. Been playing with the GT4 cars recently, and warming up the tyres after every setting changes was killing the fun. Then the other morning over a coffee it came to me, use Hotlap and have instant hot tyres 😖

It’s the same in the GT2s you need to warm the tyres… like you say it’s best to do testing and car setup using the HotLap and like during the video if you start with cold tyres just go into the setup menu then back out. Your tyres will be warm again.
Just remember this is for a 1 lap setup so you may want to close the brake ducts more so you can warm the tyres quicker.
You’ll also need to do a shorter session to workout the best pressure settings for a race stint once you’ve got a good setup.
You may find you need to do some subtle changes to your race setup from a HotLap setup.
Unfortunately these will always be slightly different & to fully get the best from the car over say a 30 minute session you’ll need to run a practice session or maybe a number of online races to find the right balance.

Thanks for this info Jay. I may need to give the XBow a try. It reminded me of a Go-Cart when I saw it from the rear. But it sounds great. I want to ask you Jay, where does the ghost come from? Would it be my fastest lap or someone else's? And is it possible to load someone else's faster time (I have never used Hotlap as you can tell)? Thanks again for your time and knowledge. It has helped me enjoy the hobby.

I think if you’re on Xbox it’s always been the fastest lap. I’m not sure if when you’re on pc it’s your fastest lap until you’ve posted a lap in the top ten.
I’m sure I have fastest lap set to default which I assume is my own when running in HotLap.
This is a special event HotLap so it many different.
I know on pc you can choose which car you use as a ghost so if you’ve set a fast lap in the KTM for example you could then select the KTM as the ghost but you could drive a Ferrari.
I’ve not done much HotLapping on pc to know exactly how it works myself.
I’ve just done the 2 special events so far and don’t particularly expect to do any online racing on pc.
The Xbox version is far better graphically when racing multiple cars but during hot laps I can have good graphics and a higher frame rate.

Thanks again Jay. I am on PC and can't wait to get to trying it. It's been a while since I have been in the rig. My PC GPU got outdated and just got a new gaming PC so have been out of the loop for a while.

Hi Jay. Gary from New Zealand. I must say was disappointed to hear you have moved across to the dark side...lol. Are you able to list the specs of your laptop. I don't think the one you have is available in NZ cheers Gary

I’ve not quite moved fully to the dark side and will continue to use ACC on Xbox for sure. Guess I’m just playing with my new toy.
The laptop is an MSI Cyborg 15’6 inch gaming laptop running on a
      Intel® Core™ i5-12450H
      Processor
      Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce
      RTX 3050 6 GB

I bought it in the Black Friday sales for £700.

I dont understand your "return to garage" process.. I return to garage and end up IN the garage? How do I get it to restart me before the last turn?

    • @jaysysumakaRatMaster3

      Use Hot lap session.

@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 OMGGG I didn't even know hot lap existed. I've been doing practice sessions this entire time and a crash means cooked tyres or you return to pits for frozen tyres. Most of it's been at Mount Panorama too so you can imagine the crashes. The amount of time this will save me is ridicious lol. Thanks!
