The real evil move is Memento Mori. SHe always puts it on Damian first thing in the fight. And it's not just stun and horror, it's also -50% deathblow resist for the entire fight.
Funfact, in German the Death is female. She is called in when you turn the game to german "Gevatterin Tod" which means something like "Godmother death". She caught me totally offguard. I didnt knew that is something like this. I defeated her anyway but it was a brutal fight.
Lady death had it out for me personally. She did not accept the fact I cheated her judgment. So after the first battle, she came back in the same run. Just to take out my main healer in her final moment before I beat her back once again. Costed me the damn run.
There's something funny about watching this video and then getting a recommendation to seeing all the bosses in "Have a Nice Death." Death really needs a vacation after having to put up with the Flagellant.
I had no idea this could even happen. Imagine my surprise 35 legions left on region 4/4. Clear a resistance encounter then boom. She kills half my party and effectively ends the run. I got through maybe 2 more battles before party wipe. I was not a happy camper. That's DD for you though.
It’s cool and all when she appears the first time because of how epic it is but it’s honestly a fucking drag any time after that. Especially with how long these runs last compared to the short and sweet runs in OG Darkest Dungeon.
Kind of no point playing flagellant cuz if she's gonna appear it's pretty much over if you are not high in progression or far at run. I got her in just first or second map so I pretty much got nothing at that point.
Might be bad luck i got her at second map at resentment for first time and beat her. Honestly i never lose to her. Worst thing that happened was getting my heroes to low health. Most of the time i was playing blight team pd gr dismas flag.
It’s a risk you take for bringing the Flagellant, who otherwise is a nigh unstoppable powerhouse who can damage, heal, and tank all very effectively. With her relatively low blight resist and high Deathblow resistance he’s even a good pick for fighting Death.

Lil nod back towards the Brothers Grimm there aint it. Godfather Death has to be one of my more favorite of the brother’s stories.
Her design reminds me of DD1's final boss. Does she have a connection with it somehow?

Given that flagellant can tank, heal, blight and hit backline enemies. It’s worth the risk
