Enjoy your holiday in Napier. Have never been there but always wanted to go and see the Art Deco buildings. Talking about cleaning the pantry, that reminds me I need to clean mine😂😢
Funny, I was born in Napier, back in the day when they still had the hospital there. Never lived there though. My family was living in Wairoa at the time. Love that place. It feels so familiar to me, whenever I visited. Almost like home. Sadly you can't swim in the sea there. Not safely anyway. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself there. I enjoyed a bike ride there last time I was there, all the way to Hastings and back, on my Brompton 😁.
Hi Liz ,Brian. Can I suggest you do look into the camera.Feels like you talking to us then 😂look at Brian when you telling him off and then back to us😂Have great holiday👍THC 💯✔️
We made a podcast last year, Mattie (will drop the link), but it would be great to do another. Thank you for the reminder! In the meantime, I hope this helps 😊 itsadrama.com/travel-for-free-housesitting/
The reason for the liquor restriction in Coober pediy probably has something to do with the Aboriginals. There is sometimes liquor bans in some of their villages. Ahha, I guessed Napier at the beginning of the podcast. I lived in Hastings. Lovely. You will love it there. The Art Deco in most of the city was because of the huge earthquake there, and it was all rebuilt at the time of Art Deco, so hence its the biggest art deco city in the world.
So what was the colour of Dave's wife's hair? Very funny episode - thanks so much. Napier is gorgeous but so is the rest of Hawkes Bay. If you can come down to the Wairarapa (2 hours away) you will really see spring! and the fact I live here does not make me at all biased - honestly hahaha
Thank you Debra! We can not wait to explore your lovely region. And Dave's wife's hair?? Probably grey due to the stress of living with nutcase Dave...😂😂
She's a little poop but very likeable...she gets rid of all her annoyances on the spot at poor old Bri 😊that's why they get on so well ..no hidden resentments 😋😊
Coober Pedy ... Always wanted to visit that one. I'd recommend at least 1l of water to carry and 5l in your rental though. Better safe than sorry ;) Also should get pretty chilly at night. No idea what to do there for 5 weeks but heyho. Surprise me. If you can be ar*ed to vlog i mean :D Hope the prices in the supermarket don't wreck your savings. Take care
Coober Pedy I believe is pronounced Coober Pea-dy. They live underground because it's too hot to live above ground. Alcohol restrictions are due to it being probably Aboriginal land or Aboriginal communities living around there.
You aren't coming for the Art Deco Liz, it's the wineries! Try not to be disappointed. A lot of things you mentioned aren't there for various reasons. Bluff Hill: narrow streets, eff-all parking so I hope your housesit has off-street space. There's a good reason to have someone watching your house. Brian is 120% right. Lock everything, even if you are home! Recommendations: eat the pizza on Hastings Street, have drinks at the Masonic, go to Ocean Spa. There's the theatre (and the Opera House in Hastings). Piku in Havelock North. Have a gelato at the Sound Shell.
Best wishes for your holiday, enjoy. Next time Cape Town 🇿🇦? Everything from amazing beaches excellent, food and vineyards, game parks stunning vistas and of course World Heritage Table Mountain 😊 Most importantly, friendliest people in the world 😁 Voted best City in the world 2022
Oh, Dennis...that is one place I have always wanted to visit! I have family in Cape Town and they would write me letters and send postcard when I was little...it look stunning. Sending you all much love and thank you for watching! 🇿🇦 🥰

Why? He is chatting wt his wife, he needs to look at her😜🤣
The Norfolk Island pines along Marine Parade in Napier about 120 years old are very nice. But I imagine lots of your time will be tasting wine tours
It will be lovely to relax and see different things, Robert, that's for sure (hopefully we'll see more than the bottom of a glass...😂🍷😂)
Spring time is lovely in Napier, you guys will love it
Thank you, Chris! We can't wait 😊 Will be sure to report back!
Living underground with a lack of sunlight!!!! A bit like living in the Midlands then! 😂

Can you have a podcast specifically on how the house sitting works. We are quite nervous about it, but it would be good to know the pros and cons.

Many outback towns also ban petrol, mainly because of Aboriginals sniffing it!
Thank you Ivy, we are so excited! We will be sure to report back with all the details. Have a wonderful week! Liz and Bri 😊
