Thank you. I try my best to give people my honest review. While I am an affiliate for StayFresh I tell people all the time if they don’t want to give me the credit for the sale than at least find someone else so they can make a little from it
We have been researching these machines for months now. It's just my wife and I and we want one for traveling food storage and also emergency food storage. It seems that the HR machines are hit or miss with issues and also should be upgraded for what they charge. So far it's looking like we will be purchasing the stayfresh unit since we don't need a large machine.
@@freezedryerrepairsupport Sounds great but it sticks out so very far. I saw before someone used a L shaped adaptor so it isn't so far out. What is your thoughts on that?
Thanks for posting this video. I'll be purchasing the upgraded hose. I know my machine gets down to at least 130 mTorr. I have yet to see if it gets any lower than that. Shortly after purchasing the machine about three months ago, I swapped out the drain valve and added the no-suck anti-siphon drain hose kit. I'm thrilled to see competition; this will cause Harvest Right to continue improving with their own machine. I'd love to see a feature where I could control the settings remotely.
You should review and compare the Cube freeze dryer. It’s so different than these since the pump is internal with no oil. I’ve been looking for comparison videos on that before I buy.
Great video brother, got both of my HR running great after buying those hoses from you. Mtor been dropping lower and I like it. Also talked with William today with D-Freeze and I have to say he knows his Stuff. Very knowledgeable guy, can’t wait for his new machine to drop on the market, personally I’m only interested in 16 tray monster not the 8 trays. I think my business Will greatly benefit from his machine, but time will tell. Anyway thanks a million for the videos man
I would love to see a video of a comparison of the length of the drying times for foods. I found Harvest right has bad support. I bought a cube but wish I hadn't. The cube is taking about twice the time to dry things.
@@freezedryerrepairsupport My HR was the same size as the cube so I had a fairly good comparison. The cube holds a bit more. I wish I had seen the Stay fresh earlier but if it is a good one I can recommend it.
@@lyndabuchholz1216 how do you like the cube? How are dry times? Always trying to learn about all these machines. Customers know best how things last and work. I love the StayFresh system best on the market that I have tried. Can’t wait to try Blue Alpine next
@@freezedryerrepairsupport Haven't hear of blue alpine I will have to check it out. I had problems right away with the cube so it sat idle for too long. The support did work with me and got it going but it takes way too long to do a cycle. So far good support but it is new and HR had good support when I first bought mine. I don't see any advantage to the cube in comparison to HR.
Harvest right is horrible for support. With all of the repair costs, I am at over $400 for every batch of freeze drying that I have made. They even charge you a fee for the privilege of getting a part number to buy a replacement part. That's in addition to the part and shipping.
Good evening, we have tested the Blue Alpine and it never met any standards and have such gotten rid of it. If any of these companies want a new review I would be more than willing to check out the upgrades or fixes they have done I will not be sending them more money however as I spent enough to do the first checks with them
tysm for this awesome review!! and for mentioning using these in apts! exactly what i will be doing. i will 100% use your code when i make the purchase next year. appreciate it
Donald, I have a small HR. My StayFresh holds almost double what my small HR holds. The medium tray dividers are way to small for my StayFresh trays. I got large and cut the width down about 1/4”. The length fit perfect. StayFresh weighs 165 lbs, more than the small or medium, why? You should have taken the sides off to see what’s used in the StayFresh. I have one of the original ones and it’s much easier to disassemble than my HR. All the parts can be easily replaced. I have the standard pump and it pulls down fast. Many people run a candy business with StayFresh. Multiple runs a day. StayFresh offers a veteran/military discount of $150. Just call Tim.
Thanks for the comment. I’ll be opening up the machine and doing some videos on this as well. I understand you can do many loads a day however with a HR you can do the same. I’ll keep testing and posting videos. My opinion might change as we get months down the road. Right now this is just where I am at with both machines. The StayFresh unit has been amazing
I would like to know what your feelings are on the stay fresh Fries drier now that’s some time has passed. Our harvest Wright has turns out to be nothing but a piece of junk. A $4500 piece of junk. With no fixes insight. Harvest Right was great for two years and then when we started having problems we get crickets a lot of talk but no action of things getting fixed. A lot of time spent waiting around for phone calls having to tear that thing apart ourselves trying to put it together watching videos, sending thumb drives to them. it’s been a total nightmare with Harvest Right would never recommend anybody buy anything from them. The only plus side with the size of the Harvest Right is they get more money out of you, you get screwed. In this case size definitely does not matter if it doesn’t work.

What exactly do you mean "As long as the Freon and everything else has been taken care of." It is a sealed refrigeration system. The only maintenance would be blowing the dust out of the condenser.
So they have shipped many machines with low Freon and or leaking machines. I understand this is something no one should have to worry about however many users have had issues
Hey, Donald. I’ve read that a HR requires fans or AC to run on it in the summer if you have it setup in a garage. Is that the case for the Stay Fresh, as well?
You would want to make sure you can keep it cool. The pump for both systems put off heat. That being said the stayfresh is not as loud in my opinion at least with the industrial pump. You might be good putting it in a room away from the bedrooms.

Could you please make a HR door adjustment video. My door doesn't contact with the seal at the door handle area prior to the vacuum stage no matter my adjustments.
I'm not following on what the purpose of the valve is on the pump hose, or when you're supposed to close it? I bought my HR used and it already had a valve on the pump line, but I've just been leaving it open since the HR comes with just a solid hose and no valve so there was obviously nothing in the manual about when/how to use the valve. Thanks!

We are still seeing issues with the pro units. Software and vacuum issues. StayFresh is working on a larger unit should be ready by the end of the year. I am not a fan of companies preordering units that are not ready to be sold. Blue alpine is still developing that large unit.
I’m leaning towards the stay fresh, but on their website why is it cheaper to buy one thru the 12-month payment plan as compared to just buying it? It’s roughly $100 cheaper on the payment plan, shouldn’t it be more expensive if you’re making payments? Do they still ship it right away or I’d have to wait a year to save 100 bucks?
That’s a good question for the company. Sorry I don’t know how they make the prices. From my understanding you make the payment and once paid in full they will ship
