ANNIVERSARY CAKE - EVERYTHING WAS GOING WRONG | THE FLOUR GIRL

Another day, another tiered cake! 🤩 I had all kinds of trouble with my cake layers collapsing, white chocolate ganache seizing, immersion blender breaking, many missing ingredients, plus issues with the sugar cookies and macaron fillings that went with this order all while working through a migraine 🥵 so I pushed through rebaking my layers and stacking this cake at 3 in the morning then went to sleep 😬 woke up refreshed and ready to decorate! Here are my tips 👇🏼
🤍 Central Dowel: pushed down through the centre of the cake, and hammered into the baseboard.
🤍Central Board: there’s a precut hole in the centre to accommodate the dowel! DO NOT force the dowel through an uncut board. You will damage/crush the cake
🤍Wafer Paper: edible, comes in white, can adhere to the buttercream
🤍 Florals: use @saucybakes method to dip the stems in melted chocolate to create a food safe barrier! When it hardens, you can insert stems into the cake👌🏼
