I'm probably one of the last generation that remembers having to traipse around stores looking for a cd/tape just for a certain song!The kids today don't realise how easy they have access to music they want - a couple of clicks on a keyboard and the song is right there. It does make things easier though - i've just downloaded Layla after listening to it on UA-cam because of your post! Cheers right back at ya mate! Great song.
@redfowlham Aw dude, sad admission coming up... but I got into Eric Clapton in the late 80's after hearing his song "Forever Man" playing in the Jeep of Tate Donovan in a dodgy kids movie called Space Camp. I went looking for his CD with this track on in HMV. (Kids today don't know they're born!) This was the first time I'd heard Layla in full and instantly thought it sounded like The Two Of Us theme. Its nice to know someone finally got on board with my thinking. Cheers man! :)
@ukgoldfan Hu ukgoldfan. I have all the episodes on dvd (mixed picture quality) but i'm not too sure if i'm allowed to post them on UA-cam. I might give it a go and upload one soon though. Thanks for the comments.

No matter how hard they try Nick Lyndhurst will always be Rodney. You could cast him as King Lear and you’ll only see Rodney. A shame really coz he’s an absolutely fantastic actor

Auf Pet, undoubtedly one of the greatest TV shows of all time, but not a sit-com. Men Behaving Badly was IMO dreadful on ITV it only gathered speed when it transferred to the BBC. Never The Twain & Duty Free were awful! The New Statesman, OK, i'll give you that one!
Bryan- I was going to edit Auf Pet as realized it wasn't a sitcom as soon as I pressed sent.....But then wouldn't let me edit it on my phone as I was out at the time................I didn't think MBB was dreadful on ITV was still funny to me and had good viewing figures! Why did you think Never The Twain and Duty Free were awful? Yea The New Statesman is classic no doubt about it...............Also Mr Bean was/is funny, + All at NO 20 Watching, etc......
I remember this programme. Great tv sitcoms back in the day and life itself seemed much easier
