- I often get asked, "Where did your love for Korean food come from? Was it your family?"
The answer is YES. From the time I was a young child, traveling the world with my family because my father was a diplomat... I have always loved authentic Korean food.
I hope you enjoy this video, and I would love to hear why you love Korean cuisine in the comments!

oh my goodness i love looking at how CUTE you were (are!) x
Welcome to youtube. It's great to see you here!
Aww thank you!! I am happy to be here!
It was so nice to hear that your father liked to go to the market and shop for food items to cook. One of the first home cooked Indian foods I had was at my cousin's ( they aren't Indian) was homemade paneer with peas. I recently found out that every Friday is international dinner night. They pick a country and make that countries traditional food and read something about that country at the dinner table. I taught my cousin how to make vegetarian bak kimchi... Everyone loved it for the Friday night South Korean international dinner along with other dishes from the country.
What a fabulous idea!! So happy to hear that everyone loved Korean night. Thank you so much for sharing your story. 💕
Love your news letters and recipes. I left Korea at the age of 5 and was adopted. I love Korean food and love cooking it as well. Thank you for your recipes.
Nice video! And I like hearing Spock in the background.
Thank you!! Spock is always around..
So grateful for everything I've learned from your writings...

Thank you Odelia! My pleasure.
❤❤❤ love this Jinjoo!
thank you so much. happy to hear that you love it!
Thank you for sharing. I think you're great, Mari! (hahaa just kidding, JinJoo!) I was born in Texas and have been cooking since I was 10, helping Mom in the kitchen. (I'm 52 now) As a teenager I would start dinner for our family before Mom got off work. Most of my experience in cuisines has been Southern and Tex-Mex until I got older. I'm happiest in the kitchen cooking for my family and friends! I started cooking Korean about 10 years ago when my husband took me to a Korean restaurant for our anniversary. Everything was so delicious, I was hooked! He bought me a couple of cookbooks but I'm more visual so I'm very thankful for UA-cam and blogs like yours!
So wonderful to hear how you got into Korean food!! Thank you so much for appreciating bloggers - it means a lot to hear that.
Teehee I love that Spock made an appearance! Teehee all the family photos are amazing! Loved hearing about some of your background.
Spock always spoils my video either by barking or appearing randomly so I just gave up and decided to put him in it!! LOL. Thank you Marlena, glad you enjoyed it. 😍
