I love the growl of the low string over the chugging power chords and the fact that you can still hear the solo over the extra loud bass. So much oomph with the extra bass
It's of course subjective, but it's by far my favorite tech death album ever. I have listened to it through countless times and it never ceases to get me hyped.
@@sterbern6762 Definitely top 10. Hard to cut to top 5 and after hearing the new single I'm thinking it's going to top Reclaimer. Heard a 30 sec clip of each song. As far as Deathcore Reclaimer is my #1. Tech Death is my favorite genre.
I hate when you hear a bass playthough and you instantly think in why the hell the bass is so quiet in the album mix, i mean, it doesnt have to sound this loud but its really frustranting to need searching like a hound for the sound of the bass in the mix, same happens with gojira, gorgeous live sound, and amazing groove add to the mix, but in the way of all flesh you need to really turn up the bass in the mix to find it :/ anyways, excellent song
Why da hell can't we have a final release with a mixup like this ? Does it chock people to hear the bass as same as the guitar ??? #StopNerfingBassInMix

@@ThyAsianMan it's really audible.... I don't know if you are deaf or not, but if you prefer the bass guitar being the loudest thing in the mix, so loud that you are barely able to hear the guitar, then you have hearing problems
@@Lestakeo theoretically i should & i'm really looking forward to the point where i'll be able to play like that, however, i don't own a six string yet, so other tracks will have to do for now as practice :) thanks for the optimism!
It's not that bad dude, two handed tapping is pretty easy compared to the stuff he does in this play through. Practice tapping on an electric guitar then build strength on an acoustic guitar then bass won't be so bad.
Ooh, honey... If you think you can do the song up til that bit I'm pretty sure you can learn tapping. Like no shade, I'm here 'cuz I love this ish, but that speed tapping bit isn't too bad. This is def not the most challenging song they have. As for the six strings I'm pretty sure most of 1:08-1:25 actually is just on four strings xp just play the low chugs up an octave and chill with the guitars, you can still learn the song for now, then when you get a six (or a five, pretty sure he's only using the high string like twice anyway, just go higher on the neck) it'll be easy to just go low, you already know the song Unless you're playing Brain Drill while not tuned in 5ths (or maybe even 7ths xD) you can still learn pretty much anything while stuck with a four. Just have to work around a bit, but then you just get to know your fretboard a little better. Either way though, cheers, bass love all around
gotta get a five string first, then i'll see haha, there's no way i'm putting that much effort into it on my four string just to re-learn the song once i get one to actually play the lowes notes :D
he uses darkglass super symmetry for most of his tone as stated in archspires gear gods video. but i think for this video, he has a b7K going on as well
Ryan Martinie is my favorite bass player of all time, but this level of playing is right up there too! DAMN. I love talented bass players. I try to experiment with stuff like this with my own playing... I'm not this good though!
Babando... satisfatório aos olhos. Aos ouvidos: lamento pelos que dizem gostar de metal mas não conseguem apreciar essa habilidade, essa arte, beleza em sua totalidade.
Low action, new strings, some good distortion pedal with a wet/dry blend... Preferably darkglass... Jared uses the microtubes X7, but I think you can get pretty close with a b7k or A/O ultra... Clean low mids, slight bump on low and high mids, cut some highs for your liking... Should be close enough... But a lot of this kind of tone is really achieved with that low rattling action...
much appreciated. when I've lowered the action in the past, I've stopped when there starts to be buzz when I play a note with medium velocity on the first fret. should I lower it even further even though there will be buzz?
@@benstibrany8388 it should be so low, that the string snaps against the frets every time you hit the strings with medium velocity... It is really almost ridiculously low... You can deal with a higher action, but you have to hit the strings harder and that with fast playing can get difficult... I have my basses set really low... Neck should be as straight as you can get it.. I think the distance of the string from 24th fret is just a little over 1 mm on G-string and a little under 2 mm on E... I can still play it without fretbuzz with a light touch... It's really low... It sounds like shit acoustically, but going through distortion and amp the rattling gives attack and character... Good luck with tone testing... It's part of the fun 😀
I really enjoyed being able to hear the bass part get more clarity in this song. Studios, turn up the bass (guitar)!

Honestly gotta say Jared is one of the better tech bass players out there, his technique is just flawless

Can we get a B3 with this dude, Erlend Casperson and Pete Perez.....?
How much money do I have to pay
I'd have Jared, Erland and Chaoth personally, but hey, it could be just like G3 and have a 'guest bass slayer' each tour 😁
