I really want to thank you for the time you take out of your schedule to make these videos for us people out here I am having to relearn the guitar again and I can't afford a teacher right now so you are truly in my eyes a hero for doing this I am sure there is other people in my same situation so from all of us we give you a great big THANK YOU .
Just found your channel, excellent tutorials, you do a very good job of explaining things, especially since I'm a beginner, I really appreciate! Subscribed!
Thanks for your video I have a lot of sheet music and I just got guitar pro 8 been trying to put some of my sheet music on pro 8 my music has notation and tabs but when I manually try to enter some of the notation such as a chord I can’t get it to work or look like my music You’re video shows you entering single notes on the notation how do you enter multiple notes on notation I have been stuck here ever since I got guitar 8 I hope you can help Thanks alot
All you need to do is go to each individual note of the chord on the notation and hit what string you want that note in (1-6). They’re just stacked on top of each other but you can be on a note and move up or down the staff on the same beat to add more notes
Just after having tried to write a tablature corresponding to the piano introduction (on standard notation) of Locomotive Breath, I found our your video ! Now is the time for me to confirm I did right ! Thanks a lot for your efforts !
Thank you for your detailed explanation, it helped me transcribe my first piece. Does GP have the ability to add stems, ties, rests etc in the tabs? I have tab pieces that contain all those parts and find them very useful.
Very helpful! Does somebody know how to have like, on the sheet I try to translate, there's a part that goes in G key, and below, there's one at the same time with an F key,
If your in a band, you fit in much better if you can read music notation versus guitar tab. I prefer standard notation over tablature but get the convenince of the later. Thanks for the lesson.
How does this work if, like me, one absolutely cannot read music and have zero music theory knowledge? This is good for those who already know quite a bit about reading music and music theory.
Seriously!!.. (I have done this like a billion times) Just Copy Paste it and Tools - Transpose.. Use Alt + Up/down and just check the tab.. You have used a very long process. I actually Thought that you will import a pdf and it will turn into tabs .. Muse does it with standard notations...
If you’re working with a guitar pro file, sure you can just turn on the tab, but if someone hands you a piece of paper with just standard notation on it, there’s not an automatic way to do it.

Does Guitar Pro support trumpet?
Can this be used on version 7

Can it be done on Laptop as well?
Do you mean on a laptop? Yes. I use guitar pro 8 on my laptop all the time
... the software should give an automatic option to convert sheet music to tabs ... without writing it note by note ....
Yes, it does if you have a guitar pro file. This is what you do if someone hands you a sheet of paper that’s not a guitar pro file already.
Just copy and paste the arrange tab to be playable
You can’t do that if someone hands you a sheet of paper that’s not already a Guitar Pro file

Yes, that works if you have a digital file. But this is how you do it when someone hands you a physical piece of paper
I thought there are automatic way to do that😅

@@SimpleGuitarDotCom waiting for an artificial intelligence that identify all the notes and transform it into gp file 😄
@@nik8ivnv I would not be surprised if that happens
