Hyundai should really be awarded for "Most Improved Car Company in Recent Years." It's truly a wonder to see this car company go from complete econo-boxes to a stylish and pretty much well built and well enough engineered, dominant brand. I applaud you Hyundai.
@@marcusmoore7911 if you can, try finding a low mile 2015 or newer. They were made til 17. There were some upgrades to those years although not clearly apparent. I just can’t remember what all. Azera while being sold in the US for this body style from 12 through 17 was the flagship of the Hyundai product line as far as the sedan body style. A dealer, also a customer of mine dealer told me back in 16 that they were phasing it out in the US after 17 because it was so close in quality and standard features that the line between Genesis and it were being blurred. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that this isn't a 2016 Azera. I own a 2013 limited trim model and this interior is the same layout as mine. They changed the center stack layout in 2014.
I don't like Hyundais, but I must say I do like this car. Especially in comparsion to the Genisis. It's nto trying to be a Mercedes, it's just a really nice Hyundai.
I agree. Every car review seems to be focused on performance and the amount of road feel. There is such thing as balance because not everyone is BREAKING the LAW driving.
You just said it, it is about time... Toyota used to be another Asian car that American customers were not willing to trust, and they had to make their way. Thats what Hyundai is doing now. And people is already starting to see the Hyundai value and reliability, just look at the Elantra residual values, along with other models from Hyundai, they are going up. And about being a copy, dude, Hyundai is not coping anyone, actually they have a lot of European design cues, and that is really good.
well theres no need for that right now. so far ive had no issues at all with hyundai. they treated me great so far and im driving a car i love with little cost. so until hyundai fails me im going to stick with them. and many other people are doing the same. which is probably why hyundai/kia group are one of the top fastest growing automakers.
No offense Micah! You're one of the coolest Car guys I look forward to watching. Some of your faces you make make me laugh. Excellent work for such a young man. I so wish I was 20 again.
i love the genesis coupe i would love to buy that one next. and if i had the money i would choose the hyundai equus over mercedes of lexus brands any day. I've seen and test driven those cars and i personaly thing the equus is better and half the price the a mercedes would sell it for so nothing wrong with that lol
Why he had to start the review with the negative points? Negative points that could be relative. It sounds like a hater is doing the review, but working really hard on not sounding like a hater. This is a good one, especially if we compare it with the previous model. It is very good looking, has lot of standard equipment, the built quality is very good, is a very safe car with nice performance. BTW, it's well known that Hyundai is making cars to please most buyers, not just peformance freaks.
Hyundai now makes a descent car that is an exceptional value. They refuse to admit they have any problems with their cars unless the government forces there hand. They often use minor excuses to back out of there warranty. They outright lie about MPG and horsepower output. I can't speak for your car. A good portion of my friends that have owned Hyundai products have complained about the real world mileage. Excuse my rant. I hav a few friends that had Hyundai issues. When they work they are nice.

I think Hyundai makes better cars then Toyota to be honest. I've driven both the camey and the sonata. I own the sonata now and it's much better. Much more stylish, the interior looks good, and it gets better mpg. Also Hyundai's cars are winning awards non stop. Elantra won "best N.American car of year 3 times in a row and the genesis was voted most reliable last year. Toyota has been getting recalls for most of their cars over the past 6 years and another big one just 3 weeks ago.
I got to sit in this car while waiting for my veloster to get service and wow this car is beautiful very well made the leather is some of the best leather ive seen in a car it gives Mercedes a run for their money it truely is a beautifully made car
actually i lied lol there was 1 recall for the sonata in 2010 but it was only 4 models that had an issure with the gas tank door. sometimes it would get stuck. but mine didnt have that issue only 4 cars out of 100,000 that were recalled did. andnhyundai was nice enough to give everyone who had a sonata $20 which was nice. not many companies do that
I think if you are looking for this type of car the Toyota Avalon is a more solid choice. I would bet money that all those nice features on the Azera start failing one by one as the warranty comes to a close. Not a problem on the Avalon. Hyundai has a good price point with solid standard features.
Not really. I have a 2006 Accent, the warranty is over long since time ago, and EVERYTHING, every single button and switch is working like day one. Forget about that old Hyundai fame. They do have good quality in their electronic equipment and construction materials, probably same or better than Toyota. I have a lot of friends with Yaris and Corollas, with the A/C buttons no longer in place or they are not working and other switches malfunctioning. The Avalon looks really cheap and boring!
Exactly, this car was made to have a comfortable ride, not to win the LeMans 24 hours. What is the fixation with "pure performance" and "race car behavior". As long as the car is responsive and safe to drive, thats cool. In case someone wants something more sport performance oriented, just get a BMW M Series or an Audi S or R line.
I rent 4 cylinder Camry's all the time. I average between 31 and 34 mpg. I know you don't get that in the Sonata tell the truth. I know you like your car its a good looking car. There are thousands of Camry's running around with over 200,000 miles with original engines and transmissions. How many Sonats's are around like that.
umm hyundia has people who are willing to buy the genesis equus and azera so might wanna recheck that thought of your and the genesis was named most dependable midsize luxury car. "Hyundai Ranks Ahead of All Asian and Domestic Non-Premium Brands" 'Equus Tops Large Premium Car Segment'. so what were you saying people arent ready to spend the money on a hyundai?
well ive never heard anything about that. but i know i have the best warranty the auto makers provide. i got 10 years/ 100,000 miles which is nice. ive had my sonata for 3 years no problems yet. idk i think they make great cars not decent. and even better is the price of them. but last year many agencys listed hyundai 2nd best in quality only behind honda. and this year has been good too. no recalls at all. but every one has their opinion.
This car is not available in Canada anymore... Maybe it's because of Genesis and Equus? I'm surprised by the amount of Genny sedans and Equus' I see in Toronto. I saw one last week with a hood ornament. lol.
I’m realizing that, you’re right. We brought our 16 Azera up to Canada from Georgia last year and it gets some second looks, and compliments. I haven’t seen another one on the road here since we moved. I guess it will always look new that way.
Well 2012brycer you should know the azera is just a large size luxury car while the genesis is a large size LUXURY SPORTS SEDAN that competes with the bmw m5 lexus f-sport and Amg but at a better price while the azera competes with the lexus es the buick lacrosse and the avalon see my point now you'll understand the the azera and genesis are in two completely different segment i rest my case
