Fascinate he is not literally the only reason they were there. Receivers still have to catch his balls, the kicker still has to make field goals, the line still has to block, the defense has to hold the opposing offense, etc. As great as he is, it's still a team sport. Without those other elements they wouldn't have made it this far

I AGREE their O line stink to the high heavens. and their defense was less than stellar gave up way too many points and not a good pass rusher. Skip has a good point. The Falcons offense had a great day because the Packers offense couldn't hold on to the ball. That responsibility lies in the hands of Rodgers.
He does have a point. The only issue I have is that he gave his Dak Prescott of his Dallas Cowboys a pass for not holding serve against the Packers last week.

TBH this sucks for NE, cause ATL is by far the team that has the best matchup vs NE. Ne has 0 pass rush, and matty ice has been lighting teams on fire when they cants get to him. Huge WR Depth means that NEs subpar nickle and dime corners needed to have huge games. IMO this comes down to matty ice vs the moment. Hes notorious for missing passes (not so much this season, but in past seasons hes missed big time throws that he needs to make).

With big holes in the secondary when you get into spread packages... Pitts' back up WR's dropped like 2-3 TDS the other night. I realize NE is overall the better team, but matchup wise ATLs offense is a match up nightmare for NE.
It might suck for NE but it is great for football fans. The team that scored the most against the team that let up the least amount of points. Two great QB's squaring off with lots of weapons around them. Hopefully this is a SB that lives up to all the hype. Not all of them do.

Like I have been saying for many years, Rodgers is the most overrated quarterback in the history of the NFL. Rodgers is the new Manning. Great regular season stats, team wins it falls all on Rodgers, when they lose it's the defense, receivers, line or coaches fault. Sound familiar to you guys.. How many passes is he going to get before people notice he is no different than Manning.
He choked against The Giants at home despite being 15-1 playing at home. Lost twice to Kaepernick in the playoffs. Blew a 16 point lead against Seattle late in the 3rd quarter, threw too many redzone interceptions that costed Greenbay points against Seattle. How can we forget about Arizona, before those desperate hail mary attempts Rodgers threw for 150 yards and 1TD with less than 1 minute in the game, yeah those throws may have been nice but its too little too late, btw Newton exposed that defense without Benjamin with 5 total TDs. Now this year, being down 28-0 against the Falcons. Rodgers just isnt clutch in the playoffs.

This is how you know Rodgers has absolutely no help around him. He misses ONE pass, and the Packers are already down 24-0. Brady struggled in Texans game, Pats still blew out the Texans. Brady struggled in the beginning of the Steelers game, the defense shuts down the Steelers offense, and keeps giving the ball back to Brady to get his groove on. Packers came in unhealthy and outmatched in every single position except QB. One player alone can't win Super Bowls.

Aaron Rodgers could've been 30-35 with 5 touchdowns and they still would've lost. Hes just as good as anyone he just doesn't play for a team that is most conducive to winning.
I'm not saying it had nothing to do with him. But we're seeing a constant trend when he loses in the playoffs which is the defense giving up a lot of points. Like Shannon said in all of his playoff loses his defense has allowed an average of 36 points. He was down 31-0 but a fumble in the red zone, and missed field goal directly led to having no points. He could've been 30 for 35 with 5 td's and had 35 points and they still would've lost because he can only do so much. Not converting had a lot to do with him of course hes the quarterback but a non-existent run game made much more predictable play calling which helped Atlanta defense, less then 100% receivers, Atlanta defense only having to game plan around him and receiver dropping passes contributed to that. He couldn't get a break on either side of the ball you have to give him some lenience.

Here we go. Skip is complaining that Aaron Rodgers has to do everything himself because he has no defense when Matt Ryan, for the ENTIRETY of his whole career (with the exception of this year), has also had to do everything himself because he had no defense! And yet people knock him for his failures without noting that. Instead of acknowledging that the Falcons defense did what very few teams could do which was make Rodgers uncomfortable, Skip insists that he's a "hot and cold QB." Before this game, everyone was hailing Rodgers as the best QB's in the game and arguably one of the best ever. Now he's "inconsistent" and "has no defense." Okay then...
Skip nailed it. When Rodgers wins its because of him, when they lose its either the receivers couldn't get open or the defense couldn't stop anybody.
