That window usually for roadworthy & comes in handy when driving -probably why hard to find them without
There is plenty without. However none for sale. Will eventually get a whole new door. Will see how it goes.
nice! have a bitt older model but preety much the same tech! nice finidng your chanel!
Cool. thanks for the comment and feed back.
Looks like the person who owned it before done bugger all painting or washed their hands or cleaned the van every 5 mins 😂 cause as a house painter by trade myself for the last 25 yrs no matter how hard you try to keep the work car clean, you end up getting a lot of paint spots and marks in the interior over the years just from your hands and putting away your paint gear, it can’t be helped. All my mates that are painters are the same. They can’t keep their brand new utes or vans spotless
There is lots of paint, I think they just put new carpet in the back, the seats, interior etc had plenty of paint on it. I guess it could have bene worse....
👌😂
Hey Mike looks great it’s a lot cleaner than I was expecting to be honest and when u said painters van I was expecting paint everywhere like I have seen in and on other vans owned by painters lol. Interesting what u do with the doors guessing the cheaper option is the best option.
Check out Dinos videos on his van builds if you need any inspiration or ideas.

👍🏻😎
I think they put new carpet in the back to sell it, it's not bad for the money, seems to drive and run great, no serious rust, no serious body damage, does have some surface rust and some minor damage that we will be dealing with. At the end of the day it' will be a work van 90% of the time and a fun van 10% of the time. There will be lots of videos coming up. It was bought for a good price from a wholesaler, all the cars seen at the beginning of the video are for sale, they distribute to dealers.
@@MikesManCave Glad you finally found something hope it serves you well.
What year is it mate
As stated in the video, it's a 2007 model.
@@MikesManCave Fascinating to see the little differences - they discontinued the L300 in 1998 here in Europe so we only know the older ones. Quite a few changes but also a lot that looks exactly the same. That instrument cluster was exactly the same from 1986!
Apart from the seven-seater luxury van we mostly had column-change L300s with double passenger bench seat. And as far as I know all panel vans had a solid wall behind the seats that make working on the engine a bit awkward. I'm sure the rear carpet wasn't factory, should be the same vinyl as on the engine hump all the way back. Yours looks a tiny bit less spartan than my parents' 1988, which had bare hardboard door cards on the sliding doors (German spec always had two sliding doors, both SWB and LWB) and rear hatch. Not sure if that cubby on the nearside rear ever had a cover, on the passenger vans that houses the factory toolkit and does have a lid.
My parents currently have a 1996 GLX van which is in dire need of substantial rust repairs, their usual garage said it will likely be off the road by the end of next year unless we more or less restore it. Most L300s in Europe have long been claimed by the infamous tinworm. Parts availability isn't great either.
@@Ragnar8504 They are very similar throughout the years, most parts interchange I believe.
