Siloe, would you do a home tour and tell us how you decorated it so beautifully p•l•e•a•s•e?!!! I LOVE your curtains, the hutch and all the little and AMAZING details!!! Thank you so much!!! 🌷🌷🌷
Amazing work! Te felicito Siloe! Tus videos son maravillosos! ❤️ 👏 👏 👏 👏 I also use the plate method to germinate all of my seeds! In fact, while I was watching, I was "sowing" all of my tomato seeds for this season in my plates. (southern hemisphere 😊).
Thank you for this videos! I hope you continue to make them!
Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope to continue making these stories, it all depends on the audience's reaction to them.
Wow your videos are incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing your channel's explosive growth and I am glad I found you as I am a brand new gardener as of this year. I am grateful for the incredible knowledge and passion you share so others can learn and GROW.
There's a giant museum here in Pittsburgh devoted to the Heinz brand and Pittsburgh history in general. It was always a go-to for school field trips. Nice to see someone else talking about Heinz lol. And also loving the new video format!
YES Please continue to make these stories!!!!
Wonderful video! I love your sense of humor, video editing expertise, decorative styling, and giving us the information through history of and modern vegetable growing. Spot on!!!!!!!! Where is your Oscar?
Your videos are always so well made, but this one was on another level. Great work!
Thank you so much. Glad to have you watching!
Worth the wait! This was amazing to watch!
This is really good and timely. I’m trying cucumbers this year. The plant has lots of flowers but no fruit.
Thanks for all the work you put into this video. I let led the history.
Hope you have a good harvest. It sometimes takes a while for female flowers to pop up, and it is always vital to have pollinators to ensure good fruit set.
I did not think I would get sucked into a video on cucumbers, but I was! Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into making this doc! Your passion shines and your energy is infectious. Can't wait to watch more of these types of videos!
Greetings from Germany! This just made a dreary winter day a lot more enjoyable. Thank you for making me forget my troubles, improve my knowledge and inspire my imagination by the visually stunning way you grow vegetables and make YT videos. Awesome
I love your new videos. Truly a work of art. My most enjoyable gardening videos to watch.
Thank you so much.
absolutely fascinating. I really enjoyed the mix of history of the vegetable, the Heinz connection and also your experience. Your little animated inserts are terrific, and your use of allegory (the cat's cradle) very creative.
I will watch the others you have made in this series.
Glad you enjoyed it! and I hope you like the 2 previous ones as well as the many more to come.
Your illustrations and animations always remind me of Good Eats. You’re becoming quite the food anthropologist!
That is always a great comparison. It was a great show. Thank you so much
Fantastic video! It was worth the wait! Please keep making them! 👍🏻
Thank you! I will try.
Wonderful educational, historical and cultural enlightening presentation. These presentations should be offered to primary and secondary educational programs.
Sincerely
OH, M D
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It encourages me to keep going.
You are one of the most talented and creative people on UA-cam.
I for one love the longer format video. And your animation and graphics are next level.
Don't let some big media outlet tempt you into a partnership.... you are doing it just fine on your own. keep up the good work and I'll keep watching the commercials." No skipping on the quality productions people "
This means a lot to hear that, my friend. It all ultimately depends on the interest and support of people like you, watching the videos and finding value in them!
I hope you make a full and detailed tour of your garden, house, and art because they're just so stunning. I love vintage garden design too especially English style. You are very talented and I love your channel.
I'll comment more later, but for now, I'll say I was happy to see you're still cooking, and that you managed to sneak in the cooking while still talking about gardening, so that people don't stop watching. Damn UA-cam statistics and algorithms... Glad you found a way around it.
I’d love to read your further feedback as well, but yes, I had to do that precisely not to lose the gardening people because of algorithm, although I may have to dial back the length in the future.
You're a freaking genious, man. Your videos are true works of art. I am much older than you, but I want to be like you when I grow up! I will spread the word about your channel, you really deserve a wider audience.
Best wishes from Spain.
Thank you so much. I appreciate the kind words.
I just stumbled upon your content and I simply can believe how well researched, produced, and beautifully made work of art your videos are.
Thank you for this video. I feel so much better about my struggles with cucumber. I had no idea! I appreciate your hard work to bring us this beautiful story unmatched by anything else I have seen on YT
A history lesson and gardening tips!? Amazing!
308 comments in 2 day...certainly seems like you're on the right track to me! True Food, Seed Stories and even The History Guy make content like this but we NEED more! What you are doing is very important! Keep up the good work!
From sound design to the research to the animation Siloe, this is just over the top amazing. Thank you for your talent and for putting so much thought and love through your work. Learned so much!
Thanks Summer for taking some time to check this video out. I'm glad to hear you liked it and actually learned something new with it. I'm still trying to find the right format for future videos. Part of me wants to continue these mammoth undertakings, the other part feels like I need to compromise and do something at least once a month that is simpler. And thus I'm conflicted...
yes, please DO do more of these. They are fabulous.
What an incredibly beautiful production! I enjoyed every second of it. Also learned a lot about the much-loved cukes. Didn't know there was so much history and folklore surrounding this humble vegetable.
thank you for your efforts. your videos are a source of conversation at my church. I've connected with people with your videos. Please continue! we are so greatful!!
I've missed your content, so happy you made new video. It's amazing, a lot of work, but so worth it! Thank you and yes we want you to keep doing what you are doing!
Wow. Absolutely wonderful. In your depth and sophistication. The linguistic origins of cucumbers is a delight. And how surprising, but real and engaging, is that :)
You are a wonderful filmmaker. Thank you for all the work you put into this delightful doc!

This video was a masterpiece, I'm blown away by your presentation and editing skills. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Massive props. Your content just keeps getting better!
Love how this video started out by talking to yourself - I see myself! I'm doing two rows of hoop houses this year; a new strategy to fight off the deer. I planted Lemon Cucumber last year; it was a success... more of those this year. Thank you for including such great information in your videos.
Another art show! Glad your doing what you enjoy. (I watch the commercials just for you)
My mother grew cucumbers easily. I found out they are fickle pickles, when I tried to grow them totally unsuccessfully, and have given up since. What an amazing amount of research, and work to make this video. Yes, it does make me want to try again next year on cucumbers.
As a gardener, I find your channel a great sauce of understanding as to why I sometimes fail with certain plants and vegetables... cucumber is one of them.. Peruvian hot day weather mixed with night cold sea breeze and salty air does not help. Thank you keep the stories coming...😊
Such a lovely presentation. Who knew that the cucumber had such an interesting history. Thank you and missed your U-tube vlogs.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is the most #Wholesome channel on YT! A fascinating documentary. Thank you so much.
I just discovered your content and your channel a couple of days ago. Absolutely enchanting and engaging! Informative and inspiring! As an organic gardener, attempting to be a homesteader on a small lot in a small town, your videos hit the spot - thank you for your work!
Siloe, wow wow wow!!! What a masterpiece.
I appreciate the time and effort gone into this video.
Fascinating story and so many complex threads. The tangled yarn was a great visual! Thanks for creating 😀
You are so talented! Amazing videos, I love your approach to gardening, how you research things before you plant them, that you aren't afraid to show failures. thank you for creating these videos!
im addicted to all your videos!..youre such a cool human.
I was just thinking of your wonderful videos the other day, and lo and behold, here is the newest addition to the video library. This was fantastic. I love this style, and I learned a ton about cucumbers!
