Hear me out, since the release I've always felt that this song is more than just a B-side track. They've put more money and energy on this performance with all these backup dancers, different concept and more difficult choreo. Usually the companies don't want B-side tracks to overshadow the title tracks, but with Labirynth they're doing the opposite. They're still promoting it after the comeback week and still make the performances look grand with new outifts etc. Now, I have two theories: 1) who does the concept of a "grander" B-side track's performance remind you of? For example, BTS. Dionysus has much more expensive and intricate performance than Boy With Luv. Now that GFriend is under BigHit (not directly, but still) they probably have more funds and more resources. But why didn't they use them on Crossroads then? It leads to my theory number 2 that Labirynth's purpose is to test the waters. The song has a different sound if you compare it to GFriend's previous releases. That's most likely because it's the first song BigHit producers have worked on (Bang PD, ADORA). I think that by promoting Labirynth the company wants to check if the fans would be okay with the sound change. And the concept change as well since some of the outfits and makeup were way more mature than what GFriend usually wear. They didn't want to make it a title track because people are used to GFriend's signature sound and because the last time GFriend came back with a girl crush concept and wanted to change their sound it wasn't received well (undeservingly so, Fingertip was a great comeback). We'll see how it goes, I see that many people love Labirynth and maybe it's the start of the completely new era for GFriend.

Why not we just accept the title track song should be the title track and the b-side song should be the b-side. Nothing to worry since both songs are great and be promoted. As long as there is justice and opportunity for Gfriend to perform both songs at korean award shows, I don't think we should make it as an issue. When the acquisition was announced a lot of Buddys were already complaining that their sound might change and they wanted everything to stay the same...so that's what they gave them with Crossroads. It's a very typical Gfriend sound. But they also gave us Labyrinth and showed them that they might like Gfriend taking a different route. So far the response from the fans has been good for Labyrinth, even better than Crossroads so I believe this will be the road they'll be taking in the future.

Ikr. Joining Big Hit gave new things to the girls so much. In this comeback we can point out certain things: 1. They tried to combine two voices when do highnotes 2. They give new way of distributing the song. It's like who fit/can slay the part rather than Yuju always do highnote led by Eunha first. Yuju's line is everywhere (second verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge) 3. Their expressions are much better than before (they already good tho), every single of them 4. They're singing in mature and rounded voice. The most distinct difference is Umji's tone now, she's singing less cute and more mature than before

I think 2019 she was recovering which is why they gave the other members high notes instead of Yuju after Sunrise promotions. I think she is healed now but so she doesn't hurt her voice again, they are distributing the parts evenly. Even though Yuju does have less lines, she still killed this comeback!

Nor yuju or jhope were jyp teainee😧 both did auditioned for jyp but were turned down. Jhope was a popular dancer he was well known among trainee but he wasn t idol like and was often told not handsome enough even bighit turned him down. Tho he was recruited by bighit as a backup dancer before debuting there as for yuju she was also verry known singer she had a great vocals and she did auditioned for jyp she chosed to debut under soumu. (I dont know if jyp dismissed her ).
