Romania, ca Moldova e in Romania iar RM a fost rupta tot de la Romania, Iar piesa asta a fost compusa, produsa si lansata in Romania de o casa de discuri din Romania.
I'm brazilian PT speaker and it's hard to believe that Romanian and Portuguese share the same root origin, I recognize a few words of the song that are similiar (ochii/olho, raspunzi/responde, noapte/noite, melodia/melodia, scriu/escreve, purtat/portar-se, rizi/riso and nu/não) and nothing more...
I'm amazed how well I can sing along with the Romanian. I for some reason thought Romanian contained unique characters in their alphabet like Sweedish. but it's surprisingly easy to sound out the lyrics when you see it written
It does have special characters, but they aren't written here. You can probably find a version online of the lyrics with diacritics, the special characters.
2014 si inca ascultam O-Zone. HAI ROMANIA ;) Basarabia e Romania!!!! Basarabia e Romania!!!! Basarabia e Romania!!!! Basarabia e Romania!!!! Basarabia e Romania!!!! Basarabia e Romania!!!! Basarabia e Romania!!!! :D
Dragostea din tei and this song are almost completely the same. Same tempo, same chords, same key. The melody is also really similar. Somebody should try playing both of them at the same time and see what it would sound like. It could work.
+MaggaraMarine I realized this last night. And as I write this comment, I'm recording both of the songs from Audacity and I'm gonna put the 2 songs under each other. THEY'RE THE SAME FUCKING CHORD PROGRESSION! SAME BPM! MOST OF THEIR SONGS ARE! Hell, Dan was better off without this 1 melody band.
If you think this is similar, listen to M-aș Trezi followed by De La Mine. They're the _exact_ same melody and structure, and even share a bunch of lyrics. Honestly though, your example and the one I mentioned are the only ones I can think of where the songs are _that_ similar.
To piggyback on Jared G's comment, here are a couple more comparisons: - "zi" (Romanian) vs. "días" (Spanish) - "noapte" (Romanian) vs. "noche" (Spanish) But then the Romanian language features words such as "lumea" that isn't really similar to "mundo" in Spanish. Despite this, both Romanian and Spanish are Romance languages. It's like the French word "date" vs. the Spanish equivalent "fecha": no similarity, yet French and Spanish are Romance languages just the same.
*_Spanish_* is an Iberian Romance Language, the same way Portuguese is. Some people will tell you that Catalan and Occitan are also Iberian languages, but as far as I can tell, they're not. Occitan specifically (generally considered to just be a variation of Castilian Spanish) is actually closer to French, which is classified as being a separate branch off of the Gallo romance language, the same way the Occitano languages are. The Occitano languages being Occitan and Catalan. *_French_* also underwent a kind of vocabulary lock a long time ago. I don't remember what the actual official phrase for it is, but French pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary and grammar rules, literally everything that makes French what it is, was made to not be able to be changed after a certain point. So the anomalies you're experiencing may be artifacts of French just being an overtly Archaic language. It's also why there are plentiful examples of old texts written in French dating back centuries that people in modern day France can still read without issue. The same can obviously not be said for languages such as English. Many native English speakers can barely keep up with the old fashioned formality seen in the US constitution and declaration of independence. Most also think that the "Y" in signs that say "Ye Olde Shit" is actually pronounced as a modern day "Y", and not as a "Th" noise. *_Romanian,_* on the other hand, was separated by a great land distance. This caused it to be segregated geographically from the other Romance Languages. It's about as far from being a Romance language as you can get while still being a Romance language, holding more of it's Latin roots than any of the other Romance languages which all descended from Latin thousands of years ago. And due to Romanian being spoken in a part of the world that's predominantly Slavic in nature, it's modern vocabulary reflects this. In Spanish, you say "Si" for English's "Yes", but in Romanian, you say "Da" similar to what you find in Russian. Romanian is also the only romance language with articles, as far as I can tell. I hope this helps clarify things a little bit!
@@bosniakslayer6614 Not at all, they're descendants of the vulgar latin family, however French has had some influence from germanic languages and Romanian from slavic(balto-slavic?) languages.
@RS - 08EM 821111 Calderstone MS That's the joke. The songs have the same chord and beat progression, so one could simply take the lyrics from one and put them into the other and it would sound just the same.
I am learning a little Romanian because I have some friends and travel often to Transylvania, but I don't just get when to use î and â, here it is completely opposite as what I thought, like cântec - cîntec
Note how the lyrics use î where one'd expect â. This is because the song was released prior to the 2008 spelling reform (so to speak), when it was decided that î should only appear word-initially, and â everywhere else. The two letters stand for the same sound, which, I guess, is why people used the twain a bit haphazardly. :)
People in the comments are complaining about how the lyrics and spelling are incorrect in Romanian. I'm sorry, but have you ever thought about the keyboard they're using? What if they don't have the keyboard for it? Calm down people. They might not be from that area.
I don't have a keyboard that supports Romanian characters, but if I were making a lyric video for a Romanian song I'd put in the effort to put in the correct characters anyway.
