My First Dive at Blue Heron Bridge - Scuba Vlog

- My chaotic first dive in Florida at Blue Heron Bridge! I definitely didn't put much focus on picking up my camera on this one as I was trying to work through a little bit of stress in a new environment, with new people, and lots of other new things going on. I wanted to make sure my attention was still on safety and just getting to enjoy the moment and get to know the lovely people who so generously invited me and took me under their wing.
That being said, I still wanted to share the sporadic moments I did capture as a reminder to everyone that it does not matter how experienced you may seem, sometimes we're all just trying to figure it out. I am very new to ocean diving and I hope to look back at this video someday and see how far I've come.
Happy Diving everyone!

100% yes on the parking thing. I think it's worse since when not lugging gear I generally ride a motorcycle and parking is so effortless.
Absolutely have parking anxiety. A lot of the diving in Ireland from small spots with few spaces. I'll arrive hours early, or sometimes park the night before if staying quite local. Being there early then helps after as I have plenty of time to set up all my gear, and take my time with it. Lovely footage and great sightings on the dive. Love the octopus :)
Wow! Cool smattering of critters!
…. And I impulse bought the GoPro tray you linked to. Great video. Love the nervous rambling.
Hope you like it! It's a great affordable option. I only prefer my selfie stick because it's easier to tuck away when I don't want to be in filming mode anymore and just enjoy the dive.
Kind of blown away by this vid. So often you do short stuff, which doesn't really project how cool you are at editing and narrating. To be sure, this is awesome stuff that myself, and I suspect others, really want to see, That said, totally with you on parking paranoia. I'm not sure that non-divers understand that everything that happens in the work up towards a dive affects how you dive. The state of mind you have when you dive affect your own safety as well as that of others.
I really appreciate you saying that because I thought the editing and narration of this was a disaster 😂 I wasn't even going to post it, I just figured it would be funny to look back on
Großartiges Video und tolle infos von dir. Schöne Aufnahmen. ❤️
Talking to the camera is my biggest source of anxiety.
I have the same tray and light set up and think it’s more stable than a selfie stick. I haven’t used the lights on a night dive, but did dive in the old borrow pit off Cannon Beach in John Pennekamp. There was too much sediment and they didn’t help much. Seem like they worked good for you.
Great video.
The tray is absolutely more stable than a selfie stick. I just prefer the stick because I can easily tuck it away when I just want to enjoy the dive and not be in photographer mode.
If only we could dive with such little weight up here. Glad to see you having fun making videos again!
It's been quite a change from my usual 7mm wetsuit, hooded vest, gloves, all the fixings!
Blue heron is my favorite I wish I could have done a night dive there
I've learned to be there a good 2 hours before high tide. Parking there is atrocious. It's all worth it though
Yeah still picking up on all these little insider tips and tricks!
