Just ordered one of these green motors to replace an old 17 yr old PSC that is using a lot of electricity when the fan turns on. I know a bit about furnace control wiring and normal PSC motor connections, but I'm glad that I'm watching your video and taking notes so that when my motor arrives, I can assist a HVAC tech to install it.
Thank you for making this video. My PSC motor blew a few days ago, and my brother suggested an Evergreen as a replacement. I was struggling with the manual and close to returning it for - and let's face it - a less expensive PSC motor when I came across this video. It quickly answered my questions, and I'm currently writing this in a warm house. I'm eager to see how the motor performs over time, if I notice any difference with the comfort of my home, and if there's any difference on my utility bill.
I like that constant fan the way you did that it's really easy and it makes it very more sellable to a customer to spend a little more to have that option
Nice motor and nice presentatin but what about the package unit .the blower operets at 240v and we nedd to conect high voltage control at the board wich give you 240v .is possible or we burn out the motor
Not sure why I would want to spend an extra $150.00 for a system that needs a new fan motor to begin with...I would not change it on one under warranty so let's assume this is out of warranty then I'm asking my client to spend $750 rather than $450...the only time I would install an Evergreen motor is to replace an X13 motor...saves time and money...with that said it is a neat way to pimp out a friends A/H for a Birthday or Christmas present...
2 reasons 1) All PSC motors will be unavailable in new furnaces starting mid 2019. Some form of replacement is needed. 2) They are more efficient than a PSC motor.
