It is insane that James White, a Protestant, correctly points out that Popes have referred to Mary as Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix. However, disagreements about doctrine are not problematic for the Catholic Church because throughout the history of the Catholic Church there has always been disagreements in Catholicism such as circumcision and the nature of Jesus. Eventually they are resolved by the Church.

The Church is changing the name "co-redemptrix" because the title is very deceiving to someone who is unaware of what the doctrine is. The Church still believes what the doctrine contains.

I legit just debated to bishops on sola scriptura and they really had no answer on why I shouldn’t have the literal word of God as my ultimate authority. God breathed and caused the universe to exist! Why shouldn’t we use the word of the triune living God of the Bible over any man.
Bishops: well because you need someone to tell interpret what it’s saying.
Me: why? The Holy Spirit can’t help with that?

For some odd reason this popped up today! No worries: Mary was not and won't be declared co-redemptrix. There are some Catholics who sometimes forget that Jesus is the only redeemer, but they aren't in charge even with tttheir noisy youtube sites. Pope Francis has not changed anything, but this only means that some very traditional Catholics who hate (so much for Christian love and not blaspheming) him could try to push for it. Too bad - not going to happen. Every religion (and also political system) has radicals who believe they know best and push for it or want to discuss something ad nauseum. The venerable woman from the 1600s who began this nonsense was never declared a saint and many of her writings are suspect - again despite what some people hope for. Interesting that you wanted to talk about this when Protestant churches have their own significant concerns.

May I ask how did she cooperated with Christ and contributed to our salvation?. Please answer my question with bible verses as proof of your answer.
To my knowledge ALL the GLORY (100%) of my salvation is due ONLY to Jehovah God (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and NO one else!
Last I checked (in the Bible) Jehovah God does NOT share His Glory with His creatures.Salvation comes 100% from Jehovah God and the glory is His ONLY and since Mary is a creation of God she gets 0 GLORY and merits for our salvation.
It is written that Jehovah God can make a stone talk if he wishes therefore if Mary would have refused surely Jehovah God would have found another vessel for Jesus Christ to be born!!!!. Didn't Jonah said NO to Jehovah God and at the end Jehovah God had His will be done regardless of what Jonah said and decided?.
Our salvation didn't depended on human will to be accomplished because humans didn't have anything to do with it, SALVATION is Jehovah's God undeserved MERCY towards us sinners and that includes Mary also.
I give credit where credit is due and Mary is the mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a pure/humble/obedient/faithful/just servant of Jehovah God and my sister in the faith also.No more no less!.

      Marian Dogmas, Scriptural Defense
Mary is the New Eve (Gen 3:15, Luke 1:28 -1:38, Jn 2:4, Jn 19:26, Gal 4:4, Rev 12:1, Rev 12:17)
      Immaculate Conception:
As Eve was created sinless, the New Eve was born unstained by original sin. How can the New Eve be inferior to the old?
      ASSUMPTION OF MARY:
If Adam and Eve had obeyed God, they would have entered heaven body and soul. Since the new creation is the fulfillment of the failure of the old, Jesus, the New Adam, and Mary, the New Eve, obeyed God perfectly. Because of their perfect obedience, Jesus and Mary entered heaven body and soul.
      CO-REDEMPTRIX:
Both Adam and Eve sinned but it was Adam's sin that caused the downfall. Nevetheless, Eve was Co-Transgressor as she played a vital part in man's downfall. In a similar manner, although Jesus' obedience redeemed man, Mary was Co-Redemptrix as she played a vital role in man's redemption. In Luke Ch 1:28-38, God draws a parallel between Eve and Mary. Eve listens to a fallen angel, sins, and tempts Adam who brings the fall of man. Mary listens to an Angel, accepts God's plan, gives birth to Jesus who is the redeemer of man.
      MEDIATRIX OF ALL GRACES:
Mary is Mediatrix of All Graces because Mary gives birth to Jesus who reconciles man to God so we can receive God's grace.
Also through Mary's intercessory prayers, we receive God's grace as displayed at the wedding at Cana when Mary asked Jesus for help and he truned water into wine. It is not Mary's grace, but God's grace that we receive through Mary's intercession.
      Mary is the New Ark of the Covenant (Ex 40:34-35, Lk 1:35), (2 Sam 6:1-11, Lk 1:39), (2 Sam 6:14, Lk 1:43), (2 Sam 6:15, Lk 1:42), (2 Sam 6:9, Lk 1:43), ( 2 Sam 6:11, Lk 1:56), (2 Sam 6:11, Lk 1:39-45), (Ex 16:33-34, Ex 25:16, Num 17:10, Heb 9:4), (Rev 11:19, Rev 12:1)
Prefigured in Jephthah's daughter (Luke 1:34,38 Judges 11:35-39)
      EVER VIRGIN:
No man could touch the Ark (2 Sam 6:7). Similarly no man could touch Mary the New Ark of the covenant. Mary's viriginy upholds the divinity of Jesus. The Ark's main purpose was to bring the presence of God to his people. Similarly, the New Ark's main purpose was to bring the prescence of Jesus (God/Man) to the world. Sacred vessles set aside for God, cannot be used for normal use. Like a goblet used in worship cannot be used to drink wine at dinner. Simiarly Mary's womb set aside to bring God's prescence into the world cannot be used for normal use.
Luke 1:34,38 was alluding to Jephthah's daughter in Judges 11 who accepted the will of her father and was ever virgin. Likewise because Mary accepted God the Father's will, she became ever virgin. Her womb dedicated to God, could not be used for normal activity.

I kinda like the fact that this guy knows a stretch about the Catholic Church, but I think this guy needs to contextualize when it comes to Co-Redemptrix. The actual theology is actually permissible to Catholic Christians since it would just equate to a unique “cooperation” to God’s salvation. Co in Latin would be Cum meaning “with”. In a sense, every Christian is a cooperator in God’s redemption; we are the Mystical Body of Christ. Appropriate that to the blessed lady and you have “Co-Redemptrix”. Going back to the issue, Popes after the Second Vatican Council distanced themselves to the term. It becomes disused. Since Catholics (most probably beyond conservative circles) are not that catechized enough, it could lead in the misleading of many. It is worth noting that it is very nuanced especially in English since “co” implies “equality”. The meaning still stands, but the term IN CONTEXT of contemporary Church perception is dropped.
The infallible doctrine towards Capital Punishment was NOT changed, but the approach towards its modern utilization is shifted. Meaning, death penalty is morally acceptable, however with progressing sense of the sanctity of life and in many cases discovery of facts contrary to previous decisions (and other nuances), the Church speaks through the catechism that we are better of abolishing its use and utilizing other forms of penalty/ correction.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." There is no "cooperation" in redemption. I had nothing to do with my salvation apart from receiving it. God is the potter, I am the clay. Whatever the potter chooses to do with the clay is entirely up to Him.

Jesus to Luisa Piccarreta on May 1, 1925
    (Book of Heaven):
"In addition to Myself, there is my Celestial Mother, who was given the unique mission of Mother of a Son-God, and the office of Co-Redemptrix of mankind. For Her mission of Divine Maternity, She was enriched with so much grace, that all that belongs to the other creatures, both celestial and terrestrial, united all together, will never be able to equal Her. But this was not enough to draw the Word into Her maternal womb; She embraced all creatures, She loved, repaired, adored the Supreme Majesty for all, in such a way as to accomplish, Herself alone, all that the human generations owed God. So, in Her virginal Heart She had an inexhaustible vein toward God and toward all creatures. When the Divinity found in this Virgin the requital of the love of all, It felt enraptured, and formed in Her Its Conception. And as She conceived Me, She took on the office of Co-Redemptrix, and She took part in, and embraced together with Me, all the pains, the satisfactions, the reparations, the maternal love toward all."

@@allisvanity...9161 The Blessed Virgin Mary is not ADORED as God. She is not God. As human, She is REVERED just as the saints are but more so because She is the Mother of God. The title "Co-Redemptrix" does not mean She is God. One reason to justify the title is that Her "Yes" to Angel Gabriel in the Annunciation made it possible for Her to bear Jesus, the Redeemer, in Her womb. If She said "No", the Redeemer would not have been born.
