    You are simply awesome Patrick. Have gone through several docs online but understanding through a video tutorial here makes crystal clear everything.
    Thanks once again.

    Just discovered randomly your channel and it's so interesting! Thanks a lot for all this well explained information.
    Call Manager Traces playlist is my favorite topic and I'll follow all your videos hoping to be able to understand how to interpret different types of traces.
    Thanks again for this and please keep going.

      Zarioiu Bogdan Thank you so much Zarioiu! I’ll be doing another trace reading video soon to continue the playlist.
      In the description I have a link to all the traces so you can practice too. Let me know if there are any questions.

      Patrick Kinane I’ll go through them and let you know about any questions. I want to see and understand the different trace types you explain. Do you plan to do also some videos in which you show how to analyze failing scenarios?(let’s say phone A calls phone B. B answers and puts A on hold. After a few seconds the call drops). Something like this, failing scenarios in general.

    • @PatrickKinane1
      @PatrickKinane1  4 роки тому

      Zarioiu Bogdan absolutely. I plan to do scenarios with voice gateways where we look at the debugs from the gateway, I plan to look at phone logs and Jabber logs, and I plan to look at logs on CUCM for failures too.

      Much appreciated! There will be more coming and I will eventually get more into log analysis for other UC products. Maybe even do some live streams where I can walk through a call with people who are viewing the stream. Let the viewers guide the stream for practical application.

      +Nick Bacon Thank you. Last night I pulled logs for call hold and started planning the video. When troubleshooting call failure you get more into the weeds so I have to walk through successful call scenarios first to slowly introduce different things. Call failure scenarios will come though.

    Patrick - thank you for your service! Ex navy here, same family different branch. Im really struggling with understanding traces in real time aka understanding them in a real world type environment. Do you know any resources that might tie it together? Your resources are fantastic and I'm starting to get it but just not there yet

    • @PatrickKinane1
      @PatrickKinane1  5 років тому

      PMD that’s right. For troubleshooting calls on CUCM you typically only need to get CCM logs; however, for some calls we need to get other logs (like ILS, or CTIManager).

    Great video Pat. Thank you.
    Question: Why dint the CM forward the SDP in the invite which was sent by the phone A. Why did it convert the call into a delayed offer any reason and where do we exactly do this configuration on CM to send delayed offer for phone B.

    • @PatrickKinane1
      @PatrickKinane1  4 роки тому +2

      Hey, Karthikeyan. CUCM sends delayed offer by default. You can make the change to early offer on the sip profile.
