Yoooo, appreciate the shout-out bro! Happy to see my favorite starter as the featured Mon. Always thought that this Mon was dope ASF ever since I first used it in Emerald.
Thank you for the suggestion to use Sceptile :) speaking of the gen 3 games, I also had Sceptile in Emerald! Really fun Pokemon with Leaf Blade and I remember I also taught it the TM for Rock Tomb early on
QOTD: I’d force them to work on 1 game for 4 years, making a GTA level detailed free roam Pokémon game. Changing seasons with the year, all mons included, legendary mons as monthly releases, or secret easer eggs
Great vid as always bro. Gen 3 was the first gen I picked the Grass starter instead of Water (my usual pick) so Sceptile has a special place in my heart
I would make it to where during battles you can just select which Pokémon to send out first instead of always first in your party, and also I would make it where gym battles are either 3v3 where you can only or full 6v6 just like the anime….no more all mine versus 2-3 of there’s, it will also make the gym challenges a bit more challenging
QotD: Legends Celebi, for sure. But wait! There’s more… Abilities, held items, and aaall the apricorn balls (the recipe gets hidden for a time and is discovered by Kurt in the future thanks to Cele boi). More diverse research tasks (and fewer repetitions of each) based on the lore from dex entries, etc. like the side quest objectives. e.g. Drifloon, Ponyta, Eevee. I would never force you to catch bidoof 20 freaking times.
QOTD: I would separate the grounded/ungrounded property from flying and levitate. All the flying types would still be ungrounded, but now Flygon and Hydreigon can have real abilities and still be ungrounded. Magnezone could become ungrounded without losing magnet pull/analytic.
QOTD: I’d buff a lot of the older Legendary Pokémon with better movepools and new/improved Abilities. I would also rework Sleep so it can be usable in competitive play as is (with no restrictions on how it can be used/spread/applied) and rework Freeze so it basically becomes like Burn, but against Special Attackers.
In previous generations Moltres could actually learn Whirlwind-I'm not sure if Pokemon Home will allow it anymore as it would be a transfer-only move even for Gen 8. Technically Whirlwind is better than Roar since Soundproof can't block it which I guess could actually come up in some specific Kommo-o scenarios.
QotD: Game Freak needs new talent and a new director. We need to have a game that can actually run on the switch, proper voice acting for most dialogue and actual cinematic cut scenes. I'll carry the disappointment and dissatisfaction of that moment in SwSh when everyone in the tunnel was pointing and awing at some unseen catastrophe going on just off camera FOREVER. Or Zamazenta swiveling in place absurdly during it's cut scene. Or when the one small Pokémon walked to the door, cut to black, viola door open happened, JUST GIVE US THE ANIMATION.

ooooh this is my favorite qotd because i've really disliked the decisions they've made in the last couple gens lol. the short version goes like this: first, we ditch all the lame mechanics and bring back megas, as well as ton of new ones, primarily for "bad" mons. next, overworld mechanics are jacked from the legends arceus game and we're hiring actual writers to do the story and we're picking up on the multiverse shit that was at the end of the delta episode in oras. finally, i'm ditching all the grinding bs; getting rid of in-game IVs and EVs, but instating a smogon-esque simulator (with ladders ofc) that does still use those aspects so time is no longer a barrier to playing competitively in-game. OH! and one more thing i've always wished they'd do is use fan designs for pokemon sometimes. fans have come up with some incredible shit over the years, so i'd buy the designs from fans/ artists if we wanted to use them in game and provide appropriate acknowledgment in the credits. #kev4pokeprez
These are great ones. I'm actually glad you mentioned the multiverse thing with rainbow rocket, that was such a cool post game and it was left pretty open-ended with Giovanni exiting through a portal so bringing it back would be fire. Gems and Megas were my two favorite mechanics, everything after that didn't live up to those imo. You're right about the fan designs there are some really cool ones out there. I remember when I was maybe 14 or 15 (so over a decade and a half ago) i used to follow someone called cascadegonpory and they had a lot of really cool fakemons. I was in the pokemon card making scene back then and they had some really interesting ones like this steelix evolution for example: cascadegonpory.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/558.jpg
If I had control over everything I’m editing every Pokémon pre gen 5 and making them insane, call that reverse power creep. I’m talking I’m giving mine duel types, 100+ BST on shit like noctowel and carnevine and them movesets are going to be so deep your going to think terantino made these move pools for how deep they are😮💨
Going for Leaf Storm means you're forced to switch due to the SpAtk drop unless you're going for Rock Slide or Earthquake, which may not be convenient if hazards are up. Giga Drain allows you to stay in and switch up moves a lot easier (convenient for Tera Blast Ice surprises). It's also useful for the HP recovery
QOTD: The fact that Showdown is the king of competitive Pokemon seems like an oversight -- I'd make an official, company-sponsored simulator/knowledge base/ladder system. While there's the official tournaments, VGC has such a different flavor. Also, it also seems like a business opportunity; like, imagine if Showdown charged like $5 a month. I bet it'd make a lot lol

I’m talking I’m giving mine duel types, 100+ BST on shit like noctowel and carnevine and them movesets are going to be so deep your going to think terantino made these move pools for how deep they are😮💨
QOTD: make pokemon public domain
Then we can get a Pokemon horror movie like that one Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 🧸🍯
Man I seen Sceptile and pulled up immediately
GLISCO’ NO MO’
I see expert belt, I click like
Yo envy I have an idea that I think only you and Joey can do (I’m gonna leave the same comment just switch names) can do. Road to top 10 OU w/o OU
Scepti big steppin in giuseppe
Sceptile was cool but in this video moltres outclassed every other Pokemon proving it to be deserving in OU 😮
So many teams struggle vs Moltres, I think also Primarina feels that way too vs many standard builds
QOTD I wish to control the experience and outcomes of my life.
qotd: I would force them to make less powercreep abominations
replace the dino's at the upper management, so we might be able to get some nice games out, and let others expand on their IP's,
Why gigs drain over leaf storm on a frailer mon?
Going for Leaf Storm means you're forced to switch due to the SpAtk drop unless you're going for Rock Slide or Earthquake, which may not be convenient if hazards are up. Giga Drain allows you to stay in and switch up moves a lot easier (convenient for Tera Blast Ice surprises). It's also useful for the HP recovery
any news on draft league content?
nothing yet as of now 😔 still a work in progress, but I would like to join one in the near future if a league will have me
Tera ice to resist ice always heat ❄️❄️❄️
Use Altaria in OU please!
will add it to my list :)
I would make the company to join forces with showdown devs and make a real free pokemon battle Royale. Lol
the ultimate tool for competitive players
Heat lord hype
sceptile the only real gen3 starter .. jk the were all banger
Ill erase all games gen 6 - current, tell pokemon company to try again
QOTD: The fact that Showdown is the king of competitive Pokemon seems like an oversight -- I'd make an official, company-sponsored simulator/knowledge base/ladder system. While there's the official tournaments, VGC has such a different flavor. Also, it also seems like a business opportunity; like, imagine if Showdown charged like $5 a month. I bet it'd make a lot lol
more focus on the competitive side is always a nice thing
Here's this killer I found
Scyther @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 92 Def / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Vacuum Wave
- Dual Wingbeat
- Lunge
- Facade
Extreme speed with tera normal dragonite does 99% MAX.. this Scyther only has to whack Ogerpon once with tera 😂 then ya I initially wanted a way to clear off ribombee until I was dicing darkrai and dragapult... I fr just tera off the rip with it let this go like a munchy mower and it does 97%-113 to samarout too and yeah if they switch in glimmora it's a 2 hit KO cause it's doing 50% in total to it.. basically yeah I find this an incredible powerful scarfer as well for a tera option it really does chew thru alot i've seen so far
This is a wild set LOL how much is Vacuum Wave doing to kingambit? :)
@@LordEmvee 22% 😅
:)
QOTD: I’m releasing a shiny event chi-yu with eruption
Just to see everyone lose their minds
Chaos 🌋
Buc de cool
