How to Make Watermelon Jell-O Shot Slices

We have a way to make your watermelon Jell-O shots look like real watermelon slices! You won't believe how cool this is and how drunk and excited your friends will be after they have these. This recipe calls for using a real watermelon and scraping out the inside of it and using the rind as the holder for your shot. You have to pretty much scrape out the entire melon and refill it with a red Jell-O. Save that awesome watermelon and eat it or make some sorbet! When picking the flavor of your watermelon shots just keep in mind that the actual watermelon flavor comes out bright pink so you may want to make cherry flavored shots if you want that bright red color.

before you scoop out the watermelon, make crosscuts in the watermelon, flesh side, with your knife. that way you have sticks in away to scoop out instead of everything. it makes scooping out much easier.
tried this at a party not to long ago, very good and surprisingly effective :D

Or, you can mix the watermelon insides , strain it from the seeds then add the geletain, then put it back into the shell.

i did this for the first time, and everybody loved it. only thing i changed was i used 3 cups of vodka.. but it still turned out great. can't wait to try it again. thanks for sharing.

You fan also use the peel of a lime for the base of the jello shot instead of the actual watermelon
This is so cool. I would toss in some of those crunchy watermelon seed shaped candys for the effect. Cause chocolate sprinkles does sound gross lol. They would be all mushy too... yuck

Hmm. I guess not. You could probably substitute the vodka for water like normal Jell-O and it should work I'd imagine.

Possibly but the ratio would have to be precise as too much watermelon and it wouldn't solidify as well I'd imagine
