You are undoubtedly my favorite guitar gear reviewer....
thanks! :)+MrPaolo101
+MrPaolo101
Me too. And Pete's guitar playing is mind blowing.
Would love if you could get your hands on a BluGuitar AMP1 pedal amp for review Pete.
+StealthParrot I second that! Would love a review of the AMP1 :)
+MrPaolo101 I agree !!!
"Watch me play insanely sick, nasty riffs and incredible, jaw-dropping solos on UA-cam like it's nothing, while remaining completely humble and likable."
- Pete Thorn, apparently ;-)
There are very few things in this life I enjoy more than Pete Thorn demos! Dude is just awesome.
:)
It's annoying, isn't it? You can't not like the guy :D
I've had mine for about a month now. Best distortion pedal I've ever owned.
You are the only one who transforms a pedal brutal into some cute. You are not human, Pete.
Very nice, smooth distortion, with some cool innovative features, getting the most out having one footswitch and a standard size.
Love this guy. Such a pity he isn't more mainstream. Serious chops.
really cool how you alternate between scenes when doing the rhythm and lead. being able to watch how you put the song together with this feature is entertaining and displays how your song is assembled....You must be in high demand for demos!
Nice playing...again! I enjoy your videos immensely Pete. Thank you. I take away a lot from them!
Fabulous playing Pete, thank you...
Holy crap that intro track! Pete you're yet again blown my mind.
+James Russo thanks James, thanks for coming back and watching my vids!
Pete Thorn Any time Pete!
I would recognise your playing miles away Pete ! as I said before your bend and vibrato is colossal.
Awesome playing Mr. Thorn.
Impressive playing yet again Pete!! Respect!!
*Uses Jedi mind trick* "this is the distortion pedal you're looking for" Awesome review, as always, Pete!
Been playing electric guitars for 19 years and I've always used Dis/OD from my ME-50 and later Nova System and today, I suddenly felt it's the right time to buy a stand-alone pedal. (but that's another story! :p) So, I checked some vids and reviews and got to a mall here in SG to look and test a few. Passed by one shop and saw the No.5 and thought, wow, look at all those knobs. Came out of the shop, I googled it and thanks to your video, I came back to that shop, tested it for myself and am now a proud owner of one! Thanks Pete!!
Diggin' this pedal... a lot... thanks Pete, you're a class act and awesome for doing these demos
Thanks Peter!
Just got the Sinvertek No 5 after your review Pete. This is one of the best distortion pedal I have ever played. But you can make anything sound musical. You are one of the best guitar players of this generation. Thanks Pete.
Are you from India? Where did you buy it from?
+Pranjal kashyap thank you so much man!! :)
+Oblique Sustain Yes, got it directly from the Sinvertek site
Pranjal kashyap How much did it cost you overall including the shipping?
Great review!....fantastic guitar player!...Ciao from Italy!....
I really dig this pedal. Great job describing it!
You are awesome there are pedals you've reviewed that I'm going to buy for myself and my band and this is one of them 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸
That opening song needs to be on an album! Tasty as always, Mr. Thorn. Love your channel.
+Ja Tin Thanks Ja!
The intro was so awesome I had to tab it out. Download it here: drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzkf02YX1VdwSG5GN2k1OHJRU2M/view?usp=sharing
The solo is really worth studying. Pay attention to Pete's use of both minor and major scales along with some mixolydian thrown in there for good measure. Also in the outtro part how the note choice change to fit the chords (happens in the whole solo really). There is so much good stuff to take home from this.
Let me know if you have any comments regarding the tab.
+Nikolaj Christensen Wow I must check this out- thanks! So cool
Love you Pete! (Still got my PT100 you suggested!) Great demo. Thanks bro!
such a tasty guitar player, nice demo and nice playing Pete!
Mega tweakable! Cool. I have a nice clean channel on my Laney IRT that this could pair nicely with--and it's decently priced for the options. By the way, learned that my compressor sounds better when placed after the OD. Thanks for all the demos and advice!
That opening track is amazing. Hope, whatever it is, makes the cut on the next album ;).
Amazing as always, seen all your videos since I discovered your channel a few weeks ago, cheers from Argentina!
Its no lie, its always great, the best of all shredfest exstaveganza. thanks peter thorn
you are just the best pete !!!
Why are you so...awesome? Teach me your ways.
Great intro! Very nice music!
always great
Great like always! I love your playing because you are not shredder fast, but you are fast enough to play some great really nice and articulate fast licks wich is far more better than shred IMHO.
BTW nice video upgrade!!! It looks more real!
Sounds awesome Pete!!! Thanks for the video :)
I think you should be on the next G3 tour with Satch & company ... your playing is fantastic !!
Great demo as always !!
+OnfloorAudio thanks man!
Pete Thorn the master of tone
Deadly review as aways Pete. Man...you're costing me some serious dough!
I love how "not muddy" this thing is. So articulate. I'm sure Pete's playing has nothing to do with that. Lol. Keep up the great playing Pete.
It is a tight, crisp overdrive! for sure
Good god man......that was tops! Sounds great
I always watch. Sweet sounding pedal i just found second hand. Might buy it. Oh btw, this is the best haircut for Mr Thorn imo :)
Is it wrong that I only watch these reviews for the opening numbers?
Seeing as you're not using that two notes torpedo, I could give it a good home for you Pete : ) think of the space you'd save. Great pedal and demo as always
Just subbed. Best reviews on guitar gear I've found. Keep it up!
thanks Louie, welcome!
4:55 - 5:40 is the best I've ever heard you play
dat solo for the high gain demo
So rockin!
+guitarstruggles hey dude glad you watch Pete’s videos
Robert Baker He's one of my favorite guitar players. :)
Great price, considering all the features.
...playing flows like water!
Fantastic sounds i like this pedal
Thanks for this video master ;)
Thank you Fred
+1 for the Ross Halfin plug!!!!!! Guy's a legend.
+Ben Caffrey Ross is the shit, he's a pal and a legend for sure. Funny and puts up with no one's shit!
this pedal is very nice!.. damn shame they don't have a major online distributor.
Most of it is the playing, the guitar and the amp.
Still trying to make it to the review but keep rewinding the awesome intro.
To Pete and other owners of this pedal: Liking this one. Also looking at a MXR5150 and Wampler Pinnacle deluxe v2. What are the pluses and minuses of this preamp? I'm looking for wide range of uses. I absolutely hate hum and noise.
Check out the Mad Professor one
Giving music like that for free........I know that it owns you and you have to put it out,and I don't know how much You Tube is paying you-it is just not enough.Supreme.
Sounds great, even in the lighter setting. If you set the gain as light as it will go, will your guitar clean up if you roll back the volume? Thanks again for your videos Pete....great stuff man!
+DriftingTricky It does! There's a couple more demos out there that show the clean-up really well
Put that pedal in a true bypass loop you can use the preset mode and still get clean.
As always your demos sound great! What are you using for your drum backing tracks?
ROCK ON 🎵🎶
Hey Pete, ever thought of doing transcriptions of your demo pieces?
nice demo ! a question pete : when it comes to distorted sound are you from the gilmour/landau/henderson etc "school" = clean amp , and dirt is from pedal or more like angus young/van halen etc "school" : dirt is from tube preamp of the amp ? what do you prefer and why ? (i'm not talking of course of fuzz or typical pedals, just the normal lead , saturated tone ) .it's interesting to have your point of view :-) thanks , stef
Sort of more in the amplifier distortion category I guess, but sometimes I go the pedal route as well, for alternate tones!
+Pete Thorn ok, thanks for your answer !
Is that reverb at 5:00 is coming from the PT-100 or that's a pedal?
How good is this brand? I want to get their Robot phaser
solo tracked its not very pretty at all but in the track (and maybe live too its perfect). A gigging musicians pedal perhaps?

I have to be honest,I'm not crazy about this pedal. The distortion itself is not pleasing to me.Plenty of others out there that do a better job in my opinion.
