Really like this, grounded, taking one game at a time. Chelsea were fantastic and deserve the credit they're getting all around right now. Thanks for watching mate!
There was a feeling with the calmness of their play and the frenetic nature of Spurs. Thought the ability to keep their heads when things were going against them was really impressive, credit to the players but also to Maresca for getting that into them. Thanks for watching mate!
This is the first time that a team I support has gone down 2 in 10 minutes, and I've not been too worried. The faith in the players to respond, the faith in Maresca to identify what needs to change. I never thought once that Chelsea would lose this game. The footballing rebirth of Jadon Sancho is amazing to see, he was so impressive. Enzo was fantastic, he played like a true box-to-box number 8. Especially in the first half, he dropped back to help the rocky defence so many times, now he seems to be so much better at timing his edge-of-box runs, the passes to Neto and how consistently great they were. I finally feel like he is our (acting) Captain, and finally feel like he deserves the number 8 shirt - which carries a lot of weight in Chelsea.
Top 4 is of course going to be the aim, and no one is expecting Chelsea to win the league but they have to be put in the conversation for the consistency that they're showing alone. Thanks for watching mate!
There was a composure and assurance to Chelsea's play that in contrast just wasn't on show from Tottenham, it was this composure that not only pulled Chelsea through the tough start that they had but also what propelled them on to get the win. Brilliant from them. Thanks for watching mate!
Been a Chelsea fan my whole life- the way we (the fans) approach positive vs negative media attention is so funny. If its negative we adopt that "Why not us" mentality and stick our boot in the mud and give the team all our support and if its positive we just want to be ignored 😂
It's a really interesting dynamic, I agree with you. Just the nature of how perception is in this game. Chelsea of course need to just focus on themselves, go game by game and make sure that they get top 4 next season, but who knows what happens if they keep their consistency. Thanks for watching mate!
The bypassing of the Spurs midfield was interesting, opting for longer passes to negate that Spurs press, very well done as Spurs have caused teams problems with that in the past, top stuff from Maresca. Thanks for watching mate!
While the intensity from tottenham at the start was impressive, i do get the sense that Chelsea were simply at a different level. Only took a few minutes after conceding the second, for chelsea to take full control of the game and they never looked back. Great game all around
Completely agree, the calmness was something that was so impressive to me. They kept their heads and continued to play with a somewhat measured approach to the game, really impressive. Thanks for watching mate!
Spurs’s press wasn’t nothing special and the only reason it worked was because Cucurella had the wrong studs in his boots. Tactically there was nothing wrong, it was just complacency from Cucurella.
Spurs' press has outdone teams on occasion, Villa, Man City and even with Cucurella's proper foot wear, there were still pressing opportunities until Chelsea started to calm the game down. While the goals obviously come from 2 mistakes that are avoidable with different footwear it seems, Spurs still did a good job of pressing Chelsea into those uncomfortable scenarios to begin with, I actually think from a personnel point of view it was a bit of a problem rather than tactically, the change at half time helped change that. Thanks for watching mate!
man, we're not title contenders, you've heard our boss say😁 you're really gentle and polite, unlike most youtubers nowadays, so refreshing, that's an easy sub from me❤
Hiya Zekko. Hope you’ve been well. This was a fun game. You pointed out the defensive lapses that hurt Tottenham. I feel like this is a trend that’s sadly happening with many teams; they don’t have defensive discipline like decades ago. I fear Postecoglu could lose his role if this continues as it’s something a lot of people have been talking about since last season.
Hello mate, yes thanks. Hope you are as well! The defensive discipline is something that is lacking some teams I agree, in a need to be pro active more often and drive forwards, it’s often at the cost of defensive solidity. I think Ange will be fine for now, but consistency is key for the future. Thanks for watching and supporting as ever mate!
I think pace wise that’s a good idea, comfortable as well when playing passes into midfield. I would be a bit concerned height wise though, losing the physical aspect for aerial duels. Interesting thought though. Thanks for watching mate!
Of course mate, take one game at a time and see what happens at the end of the season, who knows what could happen. Consistency is key and that's what Chelsea have right now, let's wait and see. Thanks for watching mate!
I love Chelsea and am so happy by our comeback win but our defense scares me and Sanchez was trying out for Tottenham. Also, how does Lavia and Enzo play at the same time?
Perhaps not, but definitely on the way. The consistency shown by Chelsea is nothing short of impressive and there are definitely signs that something more could come from this group of players, given some time I think they could do something special. Thanks for watching mate!
Of course, and with the more games you win the more you'll be linked with the Premier League title. There's nothing wrong with that, just important that the players keep their heads and keep the consistency that has served them well so far. Thanks for watching mate!
Spurs’s press wasn’t nothing special and the only reason it worked was because Cucurella had the wrong studs in his boots. Even with Badiashile play on the wrong side. Tactically there was nothing wrong, it was just complacency from Cucurella.
While Chelsea handled it well after that initial blitz, Spurs did a good job of applying pressure in those early moments. Rather than it being a tactical problem I actually think the personnel was more of an issue. Badiashile on that right side didn't look comfortable and too many times the space that Caicedo left next to him was being exploited by Son and Sarr, the switch at half time managed to alleviate the pressure on the right while also giving Chelsea good control in the second half. Top stuff from Maresca. Thanks for watching mate!
So the defense is definitely something that could be looked at, I think Badiashile looks a bit of a concern and Sanchez will always give teams a chance, but that's not to say that something special can't happen. Just because it's unlikely at this stage that you will win the title doesn't mean you aren't in the title race, you definitely are. Thanks for watching mate!
I really like this and completely see where you’re coming from but if Chelsea keep being this good and consistent then it’s only a matter of time before more people talk about them going for the title. Fans should embrace it, it’s a big compliment. Thanks for watching mate!
I think you're great run of form and the fact you're second, only 4 points behind Liverpool (with a game in hand) might differ, but fair enough. Take it one game at a time and see what happens come the end of the season👊 Thanks for watching mate!
While Spurs made some mistakes, I do think a lot of that was down to how good Chelsea were at continuously applying pressure. Plus, the more impressive thing was going 2-0 down to maintain their composure, and continue their quality to come back and get the win, it was an impressive performance. Thanks for watching mate!
@ thanks for the video! It’s hard to be too impressed when you watch Spurs every week and know it was practically inevitable regardless of how good Chelsea are
@@Dionysus66 Chelsea played Arsenal and were 1-nill down but came back. Played Man U 1 -0 down and came back. Played Nottingham Forrest 1-0 down and came back. Played Liverpool 1-0 down, scored (1-1), then conceded again (2-1). The only game they failed to comeback in. If you fail to see the pattern, then that's a you problem. The result against Tottenham is not a testament of how bad Tottenham were, but how good Chelsea are at attack. Chelsea has scored in every game except the opening game against Man City
@@buka.a they got gifted two penalties though didn’t they? Spurs could have been up 3-1 with some of their chances. Chelsea were ok this match, Spurs helped them look better than they are

Did you notice Chelsea being to play long ball at second half? It works. Spur seems don't have midfielders.
