Still wrong pictures, the charger sportsman had a 265 hemi six, the VH Valiant 770 SE E55 had the 340 V8, the charger was a coupe on 106 inch wheel base the Valiant Regal hardtop on a 115 inch wheel base was the 2 door hardtop NOT the charger ,
GTHO phase III, you didn't mention it was the WORLDS fastest product 4 door car at the time, and it had a 351, we never called then a 5.8. and I can vouch they went faster then 141mph, my dad bought one new.
@@davidhardy503 Sports Car World magazine hit the engine cutout at 6150 rpm to give the speed as an actual 141 mph. This was on the Hume Highway returning to Melbourne from Albury. Any car exceeding the cutout may have been showing speedo error or had the limiter modified.
The speedo needle hit the pump stop, and it was as it left the factory. Dad kept snapping engine mounts, Ford factory warranty fix? Chain from the engine to the chassis. Dad traded the Phase III in for a Fairlane that was fitted with the Phase IV good bits, once again I can vouch for the speedo going to the needle stop, way past 140mph. Don't care what you say or the magazine writer's say. I was there more than once.
I had a VH Charger. It only had the 215 but it still got along fine. I turned it into the first Valiant Charger convertible. I left the rear window and surrounds in to look a bit like a Ferrari of the time. A few years later I saw a later model in a showroom in Melbourne done exactly the same.
Just had to mention when I was a young bloke there was a one of one XAGT across the road from me. I did not like the XA but loved the XB but to this day i cannot find out where the one off phase 4 XA GT ended up and I mean one off it had factory green glass the car was painted in some artic blue Ford colour. It was one off one
Heres some advice for the channel, its sounds absolutely horrible when youre using A.I to narrate your videos and you use acronyms in the script. The A.I cannot differentiate the acronyms and it sounds stupid. No offence cuz lots of channels use A.I now, buts its so damn lazy and cheap. Id rather listen to an actual person who is enthusiastic and excited to narrate to me.
1974 XA GTHO Phase 4 should be 1 as the aussie government at that time declared it was way too fast for Australian roads. 4 were made 1 in the Ford museum in Geelong, l've been told. Rumours have, it was a Ferrari eater.
All right guys hes not an Aussie with out knowledge but ive owned every car in this list its hard to pick a favourite from an A9x to a Charger to a Ford I love all of them
This video is all over the place. When it starts raving about the '69 Chrysler Valiant Pacer right at the beginning, it shows V8s whilst describing the 225 6 cylinder slant style engine. But also in the video, while outlining the same car, they show you a '68 Dodge Charger and a Valiant Charger and a Mustang GT350. And we're less than 2 minutes in. I'm thinking if you're trying to specify a vehicle that Americans won't be able to perceive, show them the vehicle you're talking about. At least show Australian cars. I'm not even Australian. I come from New Zealand. 😆 🤣 😂
Wow, ok. No.9 GTR-X was a prototype, so it's all hypothetical, bit like the V8 LJ, rocket ship on paper. I don't know about the order of your top 6, opinions are like arse holes, everyone has one. Phase 3 is No 1 IMO , LJ, RT49, Munro, Cobra. Lose that A1 voice, Don't know what that monaro pronunciation was
I'm over you yanks talking about our cars, get your shit right, the E55 was actually slower that the E38, which was a six cylinder. You want to talk about Aussie cars? Talk to an Aussie first. And why show a yank LTD when talking about our landu? It was a cross between OUR LTD and an XB hardtop. Get your facts right before embarrassing all yanks.
This video is an embarrassment to watch as an Australian growing up during the years of our legendary cars. The miss mash of stories and pictures is pathetic. Simple word pronunciation is as pathetic as the other terrible aspects. This video doesn’t even acknowledge the 1971 Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase III as clearly the number one prized collectable Australian muscle car with the highest auction price in recent history. The Falcon Cobra was just a marketing exercise to sell the last 400 two door hardtop body shells - even the video shows the 4.9 litre badge of the 302 ci engine.
Absolutely. I only bothered to watch the first few cars and most of the specs and info were completely incorrect. 340 V8 was not in the Sportsman.. it was in the E55. The Sportsman was a limited run in I think 3 or 4 colours (red, white and blue from memory). It even an E37/38/49 as a Sportsman… crap video from someone who know shit about Aussie muscle cars!!!
Stopped watching. Blown cars injection stacks through the hood? They are modified! Even worse you show American muscle cars while talking about the Aussie stuff! Phhhht!
Number one should’ve been the A9X Torana hatchback! It won the 1979 Bathurst 1000 by 6 laps!
Only because the Co Driver was Jim Richards who lapped the field 4 times in the wet portion of the race.
Plus led every lap and broke the lap record on the last lap
@@davidandersen7065 yep.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The E49 charger never ever won the Bathurst 500 mile race, and it equalled the phase III, in the quarter mile
The Monaro GTS, was also available with a 186ci six pot.
I LOVE THEM ALL, WOW, STUNNING AUSSIE BEAST & ROAD TERROR- HELL YEAH. Thank you for an incredible video review of the badest Aussie Muscle cars.
The XC Cobra was actually a way of Ford Australia to get rid of the last coupe bodies, yes there rare, but also had a 4.9L (302) engine.
Why did you show a photo of the XA Phase IV in your phase III commentary????????
You completely MISSED the most iconic cars of the period. The GTHO Falcon and the Torana's.
The GTR was never referred to as a 3.3L, it has a 202ci motor.
Still wrong pictures, the charger sportsman had a 265 hemi six, the VH Valiant 770 SE E55 had the 340 V8, the charger was a coupe on 106 inch wheel base the Valiant Regal hardtop on a 115 inch wheel base was the 2 door hardtop NOT the charger ,
Again the Monaro 350 GTS, we only ever called the engine a 350ci, never ever call it a 5.7L
Actually the XC Cobra was painted completely blue, then white, easiest way to pick a fake.
GTHO phase III, you didn't mention it was the WORLDS fastest product 4 door car at the time, and it had a 351, we never called then a 5.8. and I can vouch they went faster then 141mph, my dad bought one new.

@davidwright5739 yep I have a copy of HO down the Hume, as for my dad's car, it was new, as it left the factory.
The speedo needle hit the pump stop, and it was as it left the factory.

@@davidwright5739 Nice try, but I lived the Phase III, real world beats censored media.

You show a XA GTHO Phase 4 on the thumbnail, but didn't say anything about it?

The charger 7. 70 as it's correctly prounced was in fact a luxury car, not a muscle, again talk to an Aussie before you speak crap.
All right guys hes not an Aussie with out knowledge but ive owned every car in this list its hard to pick a favourite from an A9x to a Charger to a Ford I love all of them
Aussie here, we love our cars but I thinks Americans being terrified is a bit of a stretch.

How can something that was completely generated by AI lose the AI voice?
@JoeShabidu
Get a human to read the script maybe
Amazing you quote the R/T as a 265hp, it's actually a 265ci engine, bloody yanks
No no no,if ya gunna do it do it right. You missed so many GTs and Monaros and where is the phase 4 XA on the thumbnail and the AI is embarrassing.

"Terrified of " ? , let's try to be adults here.
Adults know that this video was Completely Generated by AI.
Australian build quality.
The editing and narration leaves something to be desired AI is pretty crap and kW stands for kilowatts
Slant 6 putting,245 HP bullshit
Seems like an AI generated video to me. Meh.
Riddled with stupid errors across the board.Models,specs,photos...... Honestly, get it right.
