I love my pixel 5 the size, weight,battery & speed work for me..only thing I would've preferred a louder top speaker that's all & nice review by the way
I was just looking for a replacement for my well used since new (2017) Samsung S8. Considering it's last update was just a bit less than a year ago, a battery now showing it's age, with not much more support from Samsung going forward, plus it being only 4G, it was time to get something with more support and 5G capability. After much study, it seemed logical to go to a Pixel5. Much better battery-life, cleaner android experience (LESS bloatware), and it was simple to find a 10/10 condition refurb Pixel5 for my needs. Oh, and it was big step above my old Sam S8. Yours, and other recent reviews helped with my confidence in choice!
Even edges screen is perfect! Size is perfect! Battery life and weight are perfect! After 11 months used, the battery keeps over 97% capacity. it is my fifth android phone in my life, and it is the best which called back my memory... what is a good mobile phone should be.
Had my pixel 5 for a few months and love it. Camera and battery life are top notch. The phone is super comfortable to hold and use. I'll only get the 6 if i get a trade in deal is too good to pass up.
@@Ang417 yeah I've heard some horror stories about the Google and their warranty repairs and trade-in programs. Had a scared me away and I'll deal with my carrier instead of Google any day.
Do you think the sound is compromised by putting a screen protector on ? I just received my new Pixel 5 & have not put the screen protector on yet. Let me know what you think. I will only be using the phone's speakers for phone calls - ear buds for music. Thanks

Not sure about this entirely...I mean you have to note that the chip will be significantly faster and atleast they made a battery to compete with that ... So we will hopefully get good battery life for the performance bump.... Then the rumours so far which will likely be true 4 to 5 years of Software updates... Their are some compelling changes ...but I still think the pixel 5 is a design master piece although my one major gripe is the earpiece speaker 🔊 under the glass.... Like really really really why an earth did they do that .... O and that's another thing pixel 6 appears to have improved upon.... What's your thoughts Hakki
@@boakyebb changes in tech are common. P5 looks nicer for me from the front (just no bezels). Than its much more lighter and little bit smaller. Back has no Glass. If it drops Will be o.k. (you will have a cover on both so i do not need a sxy loocking back. Cant see it at all in having a cover). Battery of the p5 is already a beast. I could never drain it over one day. Tensor chip p6...its a chip so what. Yes will be faster. But do i need this? P5 is already rocketfast for daily use. I think picture qlty might be little better and also taking pictured in general might be faster. Yes. The P5 is still fine for what i need that. So for me there is (besides the usual marketing) not much changes going on. Fingerprint on front ? That's something what is common since years. Im used to the one at the back. For me it will be the the p7/p8 or the Pfold as my next daily driver.

But what is your experience with talking on the phone ...like I mean handset to your ear 👂 is it clear or clear enough I suppose ... I do have earbuds but sometimes I will get a random call and need to talk on it like a phone should be able to do at least ... Also I listen to podcasts on the loud speaker ... The loud speaker I doubt will be an issue for me o and bare in mine I'm coming from a OnePlus 3 T which really has one bottom firing speaker ... The top one does nothing and it has a speaker and grille

I am taking calls every day work related and no issues / my wife has 0 issues at all and is very happy. She likes the form factor much and the look and battary. . I do prefer the pixel buds for taking phonecalls. Have tried different headphoses for taking calls, the plxel buds were the best on clearatity on voice to others (for music they are not the best / for podcast and everything voice related they are graet). The loutspeakers are good. Just right now im listening to youtube on 1/3 in a louder room. The top loutspeakers gives you this stereo effect. Yes there are better phones outside. For myself i get everything i need.

I'm on a OnePlus 7 Pro right now, and while I love the thing for its performance, screen, and premium look and feel, I'm absolutely SICK of its ergonomics. The size, weight, curved screen, and slippery glass body make for an ergonomic nightmare, and while using a case helps with grip, it adds to the size and weight even more. I'm seriously considering picking up a Pixel 5, but I hate that I have to potentially downgrade in performance to get a phone that's comfortable to hold. I'm sick of giant glass sandwiches, bring back flagships that fit in one hand.
I've had the same phone and now have the 8 Pro and the Pixel 5. The Pixel is all about the experience. It's only a downgrade if you focus on numbers. It's an enjoyable phone to just pick up and use. You begin to just appreciate the ease of use with the Pixel.
well im going to be crazy right now! i dont know which one should i choose. pixel 5 or 6. currently i have iPhone XR but im sick and tired of ios. i dont like underscreen fingerprints and im in love with pixel 5's size but im super nervous about the performance of snapdragon 765G. i never play video games with phone but i hate lags and delays while i want to switch between apps. can anyone help me?
It's extremely difficult to find a high end not big Android phone. I think the only other one at this size is the Asus Zenfone 8. You are in a tough spot. Maybe consider the s21, also not a huge phone. I'll add whatever you buy I'm sure you can return it if you don't like it.

I returned the pixel 6 and got the Pixel 5 instead. The snapdragon is a proven processor. The tensor chip was lagging and crashing for me

I had the 8 pro and shopped it in for the the oppo find X2 pro which was a worthy upgrade. I also have the pixel 5 and prefer it to both.

Pixel 5 is a great phone it's definitely fast because of Google software
