Actually, glad to have the chance to deck Grimson for the crap he pulled. My stance (even if hearing his side of things) is still the same as I've stated a couple of videos ago when fighting those 2 Nordics. While I know Grimson isn't good in knowledge, I've felt like he should've look into things to avert the fate of Karja instead of just waiting for it to happen (especially if he wants to follow his wife's dream of 'going into a new path'). That was both shocking and awkward....So Karja's mother was responsible for the ' Mana Shackles', and it seems she installed some kind of condition that revolves around mana; since she stated of being glad Adol was the one to pick up Layla's shell. Layla herself is shocked to see this happen. Sort of awkward for her to ask (or joke) Adol that with Karja and Grimson there. Looks like there's still room for more unexpected things to happen.
The _"mana shackles"_ that Karja's mother had created was to keep Karja safe from harm if ever the worst comes to pass like her inevitably transfiguring into Rolo as his current descendant as is destined by the desire of the Grigars. Grimson never understood what his wife actually wanted so much that he feels like putting his daughter to rest is his only option to prevent the disaster. You can't ever really reason with the Nordics. The only language that they can understand was fighting and only victors can decide for themselves.

Kinda feel bad for Karja here. She got reduced into a vegetable and the ship feels very gloomy without her witty banter while we are sailing.
