1:01:38 Ys VI intro refresher: Adol and Dogi are together several years after Ys V when they run into Terra and her never-previously-mentioned father, the pirate Ladoc. They all want to explore the mysterious Canaan Islands, and they're all being pursued by the Romuns for various reasons. In a naval engagement, Adol is knocked overboard and ends up washed ashore on Quatera. Adol eventually runs into Dogi, Terra and Ladoc later in the game.

This version of Rizze and Chatelard are the same person.

8:27 Yes, there was at least one reference to Ys V in Monstrum Nox. Like most of the other series call-backs in that game, it's hidden behind a dialog choice (e.g. an NPC asks "Have you ever... ?" and you have a chance to say something like "Actually, yes."). The one I'm thinking of is when a villain starts monologuing about alchemy and homunculii, if you choose not to act surprised by the revelation they'll say a line like "Ah yes, you'd know about alchemy from your adventures around Xandria." Another call-back to Ys V is the sword you're equipped with for the very first boss fight on the Lombardia in Lacrimosa of Dana. ETA: You caught the Ys V references in video 58 of your Monstrum Nox playthrough, you just forgot about it.

3:11 Seeds were added to Ys games in the first few remakes (at least). They give permanent stat boosts. In the upper right you can see the interface showing that this seed gave +2 to both MATK and MDEF. Anyway, longstanding Ys tradition from 1987 to Monstrum Nox (at least): you regenerate health outdoors if you Just. Stand. Still.

When the sandworm sucks you towards it, use the combine defend shield, there will be no damage and at the same time the shielding increases your rage. After it stop sucking, spam it with everything. Rinse and repeat.
