My heart is broken for these people. Having personally experienced flooding, property loss, and home damage, the feeling of despair can be overwhelming, I see it in their faces. On top of the financial loss and the mental beating they are experiencing, a heartless thief comes along to destroy the little margin of faith left. I wish I could donate money to help these people if I was not slipping into financial flood waters myself. If anyone can, please donate a few dollars these people's way. Our government can't due to spending commitments for other countries.

Much of the flooding is due to local land use decisions to build over natural wetlands and flood prone areas. Texas even cut off their electrical grid from the national grid to avoid Federal involvement. You can’t have it both ways regarding Federal involvement. Texas is a red state so stop blaming Biden and the Democrats and where is Trump? Oh…sitting in a courthouse! I’m sure Texas will get Federal relief money after the storms move on because that is how Democrats roll.
