Yeah, it gets used more often in builds like the Snake-Eye or Orcust variants that can run I:P to Link it off on the opponent's turn. There's usually better things you want to do than sit on Camellia when going first in "normal" builds though unless someone hand traps your dump attempt with it while you have Triple Thrust in hand to set a Trap that makes it harder for them to make use of it after it floats.
@@metalmariomega Well, I did see someone using it in a sky striker build with Merrymaker to Sargas searching regulus then summon regulus equiped with camellia, so it could be used in the opponent turn with also an omninegate, but from what I understood is a 2 card combo with Cyanos and multirole or Area Zero
The ROTA art is official. It's a real card in the OCG. Also I tested a little but I'm not that sold on Cyanos. You might as well steal your opponents monsters to go into Camelia. If she gets ashed you have a body in the MMZ which is really bad because you can't link her off.
Don't play Cyanos in pure Sky Striker, it's not worth it to play, what this card provides can be done by Camellia and Meowmine and don't give you two bodies that can turn your entire turn off by being booked. Also the machine lock is too much of a drawback even if you use a lot of machine monsters, it cuts your option to use S:P Little Knight or other cards. If you need a fast way to go to a link 2 monster, Meowmine does this job better and has some utility by bauncing a card back if you fulfill it's condition. Cyanos is a nice tech card for a Rescue Ace or Orcust build because it is a good extender there.
I've done fine with Cyanos as a 2 of in the "standard" build, you REALLY don't want to use it as a starter if you can avoid it though(getting it hand trapped or negated if you're forced to Normal Summon it is devastating if you didn't open with Hornet Drones or Linkage first) but it works fine as an extender, and the GY effect DOES NOT Machine lock you, so it makes for really handy followup at times, and is worth running just to have more monsters to chuck with Forbidden Droplet that actually do something in the GY. 1 is probably good enough though with Engage at 3 and 2 options for dumping it outside of Foolish Burial(Hayate and Camellia). You ALWAYS want to Special Summon it if forced to use it as a starter, in which case you might have to Normal a hand trap with it or something(and should NOT be Machine locked if its effect gets negated so going into Linkuriboh in a pinch should still be possible). And 3 is only ever worth it if you're on Machine Dupe shenanigans for a C1 Sunya package(yes you can hard make this via Ekam to get a FAT Zeus or mass banish everyone) or a Qliphort Genius Add(which requires you getting to a Machine Link 2 without it, but can add Regulus, H.A.M.P. or the other Magi if you have some reason to play those). I could see either of these plays coming up in Snake-Eye WITHOUT the Machine dupe though courtesy of Ash, Poplar/Birch and Flamberge in the Qli case(in which case you make Roze into Kaina or something to get to Genius and then then set up Flamberge stuff to get the simultaneous summons). The only other Cyberse I can potentially see Sky Striker playing in the main deck is Iblee(mostly as a way to shut off Evenly Matched and Synchro shenanigans), and I'm not sure if 1 and 1 with Meowmine is worth running both Cynet Minings for, though playing extra Meowmines as potential hand traps is fine too, which I was experimenting with before the new cards came out.
Camellia GY effect can't activate the same turn it was summoned because she can only be Special Summoned once per turn but because of Therion King, she's now the best target to equip via his effect since it'll both negate something then send a monster
@HOIExotics thanks dude because iv already pulled 2 from the pack of the alt art so was wondering if I needed 3 for the purposes of the animation, thanks for the info dude
I got back into yugioh back in 2018 and sky striker was my nemesis and favorite deck to duel against. Now I just got the alt art in MD and kinda wanna see if it's as fun to play as it is to play against.
Camellia's float effect is neat, but often more relevant in Combo decks using a Sky Striker engine since those can often Link it off with I:P to pull a double disruption with S:P or Unicorn. You can still trigger it in Sky Striker if you get stuck sitting on it due to hand traps(or want to take advantage of certain Thrust targets and specialized non-engine tools) by sending it to GY with stuff like Linkage, Droplet or DDKC, and then use something like Warning Point, Simul Archfiends or Spellbound to keep the opponent from making use of it as Link material until it comes back(though they can still use cards that banish or send it to GY as cost).
"CUT, CUT!... NEW Sky Striker COMBO GUIDE, Take 2!"
The beginning you messed up, hey man it happens 😂
Camellia cannot trigger her 2nd effect in the same turn she is link summoned, because she can only be special summoned once per turn

Does the animation only work for the new engage card?
no can confirm it works for the old art as well

both have thier own similar animation but differently colored

Great content and explication.
Keep going.
