    Undercut curtains haircut has been a request as of late. The undercut haircut has become a staple in men's grooming, but I found it interesting when combined with the curtains haircut. It reminds me of a k-pop haircut also.

      @@nibbax7772 During the first step when the hair looks like a "bowl", all of the hair strands end at the exact same point because that's where he made the cut, therefore there is only one block, or "layer". When he pulls the hair out vertically and cuts it, he is actually blending the hair length between top of the head and sides, which results in the hair strands ending at different levels of the head, thus creating the layers. It's actually really similar to when people blend their fade by swapping their electric clipper heads from bigger to smaller numbers, but in this case it's done with scissors since the hair is much longer.

    UA-cam's algorithm has finally for once given me a perfect recommendation. And the fact that this is your video, I can rest assured that you haven't left anything important out unlike other videos that leave some important parts aside.
    Finally I can get my haircut thanks to you.

      It really is worth going to another city to get this done as i can speak from lots of experience with this cut that the difference between thourough and practically no layering is HUGE. Wondering cut otherwise and you can easily look good for a solid 2-3 months once you get the hang of the blow drying technique thats good for your hair. Almost anyone with straight hair can look good in this if its nicely dond

    • @midassandahl5076

      @@catex5452
      Its really trial and error because hair is subjective and it took me a good 10-11 months to really get it down to get consistently good hair.
      But to go in detail;
      Newly out of the shower, towel-dried just to the point where it doesnt drip everywhere. Brush it back, put half of the planned hair wax amount (i really cant say how much as it changes so much based on hair length and application) on fingers (palms are unecessary as theyre not good for spreading product through hair) and start applying wax to the roots, the rest of the hair should be avoided to put product in to some extent. Then do the other half of wax amount (splitting up wax application like that gives a much better result imo) on the roots again. Make sure to not just apply from the front, lift the hair and put into roots from there (important to note im only talking about the top of the hair, as the rest falls naturally nicely). Then i put in a good amount of hair mousse, again focusing on roots but its only really wax you dont want too much of in the rest of the hair. Lastly, i do a few sprays of saltwater in the hair (amazing and underrated product).
      Then, brush it all back and blow dry backwards-left, and while youre blowing you want to lift the roots of where youre blowing up, making sure to have every root blowdried upwards, if that makes sense. This should not have dried the hair and if it did, you went for too long. Should be enough moisture left to do the exact same procedure once again, but to the right instead. Ive noticed this makes the ends of my hair look more natural and kind of bend back. Switch up the left-right things while blow drying (which direction you start blowing) every few weeks. As a final, i like to put the blowdrier on blast and just randomly and aggressively blow through the whole head of hair, without a brush. Brush it back in order and take the brush again, lift the very front (the bangs part) up, and pull it forward, out from your forehead, and blow that with the drier 2-3 seconds. This tends to give more dimension to the front. I really cant explain what i mean but its a big difference.
      Then either blow the hair upwards with a cold setting, but if your hairdrier doesnt have that, like mine, i open my window to my room and lie on my stomach in bed checking my phone or whatever so the hair cools down for a few mins in upward position.
      Going into more detail than this would be a challenge
      EDIT: Lots of text, but in reality takes me 15 mins every second day (my hair is always nice after just brushing through it after coming out of bed).
      Also, always keep a hairbrush on you at all times, the difference it makes to brush it through after youve been outside or just let it be for an hour, is so ridiculously good, because it clumps up with the wax, because i need the wax and mousse combo to keep consistent volume with my otherwise very flat hair.

Will this cut work with my wavy/curly hair? Should I show this video to the barber so he/she will have a full understanding? Should I straighten my hair first, before proceeding to the cut?

      Im in the same situation your in I got the longer side trimmed up a bit but not that it was completely even tho just in case I fuck it up but you can then style it in a way where it just looks more natural
