- Italy's most-wanted mafia boss, Matteo Messina Denaro, has been arrested in Sicily.
Messina Denaro, known as "Diabolik" or "U Siccu" (Skinny) was reportedly detained in a private clinic in Sicily's capital Palermo.
He is alleged to be a boss of the notorious Cosa Nostra mafia, and was tried and sentenced to life in jail in absentia in 2002 over numerous murders.

This is the most Italian reporter to ever report
Lmao I was thinking the same usually they butcher foreign stuff
italian Borat
@Nigel Mcgiver what sort of clownish stereotypes you have about Italians! He is execessively dramatic to me, normally italian journalists don't talk this way, perhaps he's doing that to charachterize the "italian" to an anglo public
🤌🏻
He thinks hi is british!
As a Sicilian, this news leaves me with mixed feelings. Yes, it's great that he got caught and he'll face justice as he should, but at the same time, when you're exposed to real life daily stories of mafia, when you know exactly who the local boss of your town's charter is, you can't help but feel cynical that this will have any impact whatsoever.
Matteo Messina Denaro was the boss of the Trapani Province charter, in westernmost Sicily. The Cosa Nostra is not disappearing, it's not going away and it's not fading. Not to mention, the Cosa Nostra is one of FOUR Italian organized crime supersyndicates (the others being the Camorra in Campania, the Sacra Corona Unita in Apulia and the most powerful of all, the 'Ndrangheta in Calabria), which also are not going away anytime soon.
Regarding this arrest, one can only wonder how...HOW did he manage to remain free 30 years...what kind of protection from up top did he have to be so secure for so long.
One could also wonder that since hte moment he got caught (and probably even before), his allies knew what was gonna happen, the man is dying with cancer, he knew he'd have to be replaced eventually and this created enough of a stir for everyone to focus on the capture and not on who is replacing him.
Nevertheless, i would like to take a minute to underline that Sicilians, are taught IN DETAIL and from a young age about the dangers of the Mafia, what they did, why we must repudiate them and why we must fight against them. We take field trips to the memorials of those who fought and died for this cause, we visit the cities they lived and study on the history of their fight and who they fought against. I would go as far as to compare this to how Germans are taught about Nazism.
So please, next time you think of our beautiful land and reference some Mafia movie, think about how much that hurts for us.
We are SICK of them and we wish they'd ALL. ROT. IN. HELL.
Holy words, let's fight together to fight this disgusting criminals, I'm from Calabria 🤝👊
Superbly informed piece thank you and I hear your words loud and clear.
It's worth a glance at Witny Webb a journalist who has been exposing the globalist Mafia, the similarities are horrifying.
🙏
You forgot Società Foggiana in Puglia
The line of replacements is akin to your generation of genetics.
Didn’t the ‘Ndrangheta recently also suffer a large prosecution of hundreds of members, affiliates and businesses? I wonder if any information from that prosecution lead to details of his location?
Italian passionate way to report the mafia's boss arrest is quite something. 🙏🤣
I am so HERE for it!
It's not Russia isn't putin 🤣🤣

@@ritira20mila exactly, I'm precisely italian and while watcjing this I was thinking why tf is he talking like this?🤔🤦♂️😂
More personality in that Italian reporter than the rest of the BBC combined 😁
Sad but true
perso-nali-ty-ah
😊
That is so Italian and especially when they want to get to know you and you can’t speak Italian 😂
A good reporter injects no feeling into the story. A good reported is unbiased and just reports facts. Sure it's more entertaining to see passion, but that's how modern "news" programming has become biased entertainment.
Never mind the mafia boss, the highly animated reporter got all my attention 😂😂😅
Thats Italians for you. We must be seem very bland to them.😂
Haha. Also mine
the reporter belting it out like Pavarotti😂
LOL!😂 so true...

I feel like listening forever to this Italian reporter ...passion with lots of flavour 🤌🤌🤌
Can confirm, I watch RAI occasionally and it's an exaggerated version of that.
He's trying to use an English accent. Very Normal!
I would say he's exaggerated in general... no matter which language he uses. 😅

I love how passionate your reporter is when reporting the news. When he speaks, it's as if one can not turn away.
Its English being difficult ryt there not passion
This reporter an idiot repeating meaningless nonsense and no answer questions about how he caught or what he was doing past 30 years....

Well done the Italian authorities. I live in England and, even though am I an irishman remember the bravery of Falcone and Borsellino.

Well done Meloni and her law enforcement😊

MORE of that Italian reporter! PLEASE.
Seriously? Ok but not as a reporter pls

This guy is acting, not reporting the news.
I wish all reporters were emotional speakers like this guy
i agree these reporters look so soulless and robotic and.. corporate

Perhaps he's the most "interesting Italian ever"?
That's what non-Italians think. This is actually the LEAST Italian-like reporter ever. I am Italian and I can't understand why this guy is giving such a dramatic rendition of the news. Italian audience would not understand this theatrical approach.
 assolutamente hai ragione
As an Italian, I'm bothered by the way he speaks, honestly. 😅
and you're just an ignoramus, who only has stereotypes when he thinks of Italians.

The Italian reporter got me interested to finish the video till the end because of his unique way of storytelling
Imagine the story’s that man can tell being on the run for 30 years
Unfortunately, scum like him will never talk. 😔
Sitting in a house somewhere pulling the boy off himself
Watching TV and looking out of the window for 30 year's
Many prosecutors will want to question him about the war against the Italian state, and the advent of "Silvio Berlusconi".
This person lived freely for 30 years !!!!, that's more than my own age, and I feel old already. . Imagine this person did something very bad to you, and he goes on living freely for 30 more years.
but what is any constructive conclusion from your statement??? we all know it would be best if all criminals are caught immediately but this isnt possible. Catching a criminal after 30 years is great news and sends a message that law enforcement doesn't give up.
@@maciejguzek3442 I don't think OP was being critical. They were just pointing out the injustices in life. Sometimes the people who wronged you don't immediately experience the consequences of their actions. There's no need to be harsh

You "ppl", you really think you know something 😁
His Cadence was the worst I have ever heard, I Hope "ppl" like you aren't indicative of the future, because "ppl" that talk like everything is a question was already grating enough, and we barely have gotten the blks over their ebonics, and I think it's already enough for now that you "ppl" add a pretend chuckle in their every other sentence.
In other words, change your outfit, you are a ppl, and have bad taste.
Nope. Reporting is supposed to be substance over style. This guy said a whole lot of nothing very emphatically.

I have to say, excellent Italian accent by the lady presenter (sorry if I missed her name), something you don't hear every day in mainstream telly
There’s so many sketchy things about this. I remember in the last 2 years or so I watched a Netflix documentary on this man and how he was never seen again for 30 years and how they couldn’t find him and then it turns out he was in Sicily all along. Lots of questions to be asked. To me this stinks of corruption at the highest levels.
Seems to me that the mafia boss got tired of hiding and deliberately allowed the police capture him.
Hiding is still better than super maximum security prison time
Hopefully he was able to finish his cup of coffee
This male journalist is awesome.
DAMN
The reporter’s enthusiasm is infectious 😎
Wowwww never thought they would ever catch this dude he's been on the world's most wanted list for 30 years,
He made a deal. Watch how he was arrested. No handcuffs, no forced head down, like all other mafiosi. He made a deal. He is sick. The last of the classic Bosses. He never left Sicily, they never do.
If you think handcuffs and head down are the standard you have watched too many action movies. He had 100 armed police officers surrounding the entire area, what can handcuffs do?
Great pronunciation by the lady
Goes to show how bad the corruption is in Italy. 30 years on the run and one day just shows up in his home town? Please
Not one single person snitched on him for 30 years. It's not really corruption, it's omertà in this case. Corruption comes from a position of power, omertà comes from a thick social structure w very strict morals
He was so excited... Sadly he couldn't speak more than it 😀
He has an awesome podcast, check it out
"heh-heh, hey Tone, hear what they said? They said Italy's most-wanted mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro arrested after 30 years on the run, heh-heh."
