I have 'found' this man today. Brilliant, genius, beautiful! Believe it or not Meatloaf is one of my favorite singers, this man stands with Meat. When a singers voice reaches into your chest and squeezes your heart and tears are near, than my friends,,, perfection for music lovers. Why are people trying to tear this man down? Thank you for uploading his music. God Bless you and Colm.
i love the fact that there are so many actors from Les Mis who have done like half the parts. really, there's just this collection of people from the west end and broadway who have played like all the roles in Les Mis and Phantom. its funny, you could gather all these tracks and have like a 2 man show for Les mis
Marius is often such a stick of a part in most productions, but Michael Ball at the 10th anniversary show, makes me weep every time. I can watch it over and over again.
@jocelyneskennedy I had the pleasure of seeing him in Les Mis when the touring production performed in Toronto, in 1998. In my opinion, Colm is the DEFINITIVE Jean Valjean!!!! :o)
he does a Christmas show every year in Markham Ontario. Saw it last year but missed the ticket sales this year and it was sold out. He is truly amazing live and so generous to those he shares the stage with...
It is simple if you do not like him, does not come to look at his videos or to listen his songs!!!! And he has the right to sing the songs which he wants (the other singers make the same thing). Try to show intelligence but if it is too difficult for you, tries to show respect.
'this bloke' ? not only is he famous amongst musical folk, as you evidently are from your comment, it is also in the title...and description, disregarding this Colm Wilkinson is the master of musicals-He can sing whatever he goddamn wants to sing!!
@dylanpresley That would have just been epic. I wish I could have seen him in Les Miserables. I mean the concert version at Royal Albert Hall is lovely, but there isn't the amount of drama and theatrics and such..
I think Nick Jonas was pretty good in the 25th anniversary and I don't hate him like many Les Miserables fans but saying he is better than Michael Ball and Colm Wilkinson is nonsense.
So what I'm hearing you say is that you'd prefer if he would be a one trick pony, and stick to ValJean's songs? An hour long PBS special of "Bring Him Home" repeated?
Rushed perhaps and what is with that upbeat background rhythm around 2 minutes?! This is a song about a man who was shot, dragged unconscious from a battlefield, and now is emotionally torn at the loss of practically all his friends... This isn't meant to be an upbeat song...
He had to sing? So what, is Michael Ball ONLY supposed to sing Marius songs? It's now wrong that Lea Salonga was given a different role for different shows? Think about what you type before you criticise someone. And it's not like the song was out of his voice type/range...
Someone needs to stage a production of Les Mis in which Colm Wilkinson plays everyone.
With a voice like that he could sing the phone book if he wanted to, and I would still listen in awe.
Me too
I did hear Colm Wilkinson sing live, he is just beyond wonderful.
I don't know what all these people are saying, this sounds absolutely fantastic! Colm can truly perfect any song he performs
I love colm so much
Libby Pay 😍❤️❤️❤️
What I would give to see and hear this man sing live!
Such grief he carries in his voice. I want to glomp him and give him a hug!

This is what happened if Valjean didn't get Marius and they all died.
AmronSal crapp alternate ending sucks

even now it would be great, but imagine being able to see him in the 80s when he was starring in all those awesome roles? Someone get me a genie!
Marius is often such a stick of a part in most productions, but Michael Ball at the 10th anniversary show, makes me weep every time. I can watch it over and over again.
True that!

Indeed. Colm is the Chuck Norris of the singers
Aviram Imber Colm once sang a high tenor note without singing or humming
But Colm isn’t batshit crazy.
love that comparison!
he does a Christmas show every year in Markham Ontario. Saw it last year but missed the ticket sales this year and it was sold out. He is truly amazing live and so generous to those he shares the stage with...
Loved his Valjean in Anniversary show, best in my opinion, best Bring him home, too.
Powerful, emotional voice.
I can't believe some people perfere Nick Jonas over michael Ball and Colm Wilkinson. It made me boggle.
Seriously??
colm just makes a huge mark on tenors today and is just god
Marius 50 years later.
Colm can do One Day More alone and sing all the parts
Oh boy would I love a CD of that. All of the West End folks of Les Mis and Phantom together. ...Yes, please.
Colm is brilliant!
loved the show with Colm Wilkinson. loved the film with the brilliant actors and actresses.
Magnificent!!!No words will do justice!!
I think he actually might be able to hit Fantine's high notes.
He can he's done it
love it 100%
Even when the simultaneous 4 voices come. Colm can do anything xD
ESTO ES UNA VERDADERA MARAVILLA. ES EL VERDADERO JEAN VALJEAN
Ya ves
Oh my... He looks so young here! It was so long ago...
Superb.
He is so good!!!

Holy shit, he's a god o_o
This song and its lyrics also belongs toy heart.
He's a wonderful lyric tenor! You know another great voice of this type is David Phelps. Just look up him singing "No More Night".
@dylanpresley That would have just been epic. I wish I could have seen him in Les Miserables. I mean the concert version at Royal Albert Hall is lovely, but there isn't the amount of drama and theatrics and such..
COLMMMM!!!! colm is mah bestie:)
I saw it! UA-cam it, it exists!!
I love Colm more...
Me too! Nick Jonas doesn't play the same league as them, it's such a shame they chose Nick for the 25th anniversary concert!
Agree,not even in same league.
100%
It's on YT...won't let me post, but search and you'll find it ;)
Michael Ball did sing Bring Him Home live on TV before
omggggggg
It exists :D
Haha Colm Wilkinson as Eponine.... can't really see that one :)
I'd like to hear michael ball do bring him home now!
there is a Michael ball version of bring him home if you search in UA-cam. Michael and Colman’s are both amazing !
@@Youngmaylynn wow 9 years later you reply - that's dedication! You know I don't think I even came across that video yet so I'll check now.
Aidan702 quarantine time. You know ;-) I hope you have enjoyed Michael’s version of bring him home. ps, it’s Colm, not Colman. Stupid auto correction
I love "les miserables"!!!!!!.
I think Nick Jonas was pretty good in the 25th anniversary and I don't hate him like many Les Miserables fans but saying he is better than Michael Ball and Colm Wilkinson is nonsense.

I don't like this version, it's rushed and he doesn't seem to give any feeling to the song. he's much better doing his original role.
I really like this version, can you please give us the link for a version which you say is better? Thank you.
no i dont think so but he comes close and for the record cosset is higher
bastard...
Just kidding that's awesome
Is this just me or the song is a little rushed here?
I think it's the director/conductor fault, not the singer
Lâm Đặng the conductor is standing behind him - error?
Craig Brown yeah :) The whole band was fast, IMO :)
Craig Brown soloist usually stands in front of conductor

your prayers have been answered, somewhat
Great voice, yet cnt help but think theres a few points where he just rushes the song to much
I love colm to death but he looks so awkward playing Marius
Valjean has an identity crisis. :)
This is such an awkwardly written song. I can even see Colm struggles in the way I and others I've seen do.
Alfie boes version 1000% times better! It's mind blowing. Such emotion!
Holy shit, the drums coming in at 2:00 sound awful. Seriously, why would you bring in a drumbeat there?
Delivered: /watch?v=WG0lI3TGOY4
hmmmmm i have to be completely honest, he needs to stick to valjean.
your dream came true.. it does exist youtube watch?v=WG0lI3TGOY4
What happens when a great tenor sings a Weak song. Not the best lyrics in “ Les Miserable s.”
I do not like this bloke! Why can't he sing a song HE had to sing, rather than one someone else sang.
Nick Jonas did it better...
DoliSkipper nick Jonas was shit compared to Micheal Ball
Not sure if it was a joke or not.
Woah chill it's irony
Worst take I’ve seen in my life
