I can watch comic box flicking all day long. Love it. However if they are not bagged, my brain goes "ouch" on every flick. Touch of OCD maybe Mike, I think you may be,slightly evolving from a Marvel fan boy into a DC crumbly. Come on over, the water is fine! Great picks, that comic store looks awesome. I am Hulk green with envy. Can't believe you skipped past those 70's horrors and a Millie the Model. Great vid geezer. Keep on truckin'
I was one of those distractions for you, lol. Great to finally meet you in person. Those were some nice pick ups, can’t go wrong with 12 cent issues for $5, but a 10 cent!? Wow!
I love picking up Scooby Doo comics whenever I can. The Gold Key stuff can be pricey when you see it at shows, but you can sometimes find lower grade copies in stores like you did for a decent price, so that was a nice grab. I was actually yelling at the screen for you to grab that book when you pulled it out of the box before you added it to your pile. Another fun video from you, and I like the balance between footage of the hunts (I like seeing what's in the boxes even if you don't grab it, as I am more of a DC/indy and sword & sorcery guy than you) and your overviews of what you got (I also like you give some institutional knowledge and context about the books you get. My favorite grab was the Showcase featuring Nightmaster, I have all 3 of those books, and love them. I am a big Kubert guy so thus were must haves for me. Hope you and yours have a great holiday.
I love those $3 and $5 bins. And I have to force myself to be picky. Sometimes what makes them end up in those bins is a clipped out coupon, or a tear that does not show until you take it out of the book. Stull fun finds.
Scooby fan and collector here! I’ve actually spoken to you on Instagram before about Scooby. You got an absolutely AMAZING deal on that book! It’s a great issue that adapts the episode “A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts” from the original Where Are You? series. Thanks for showing Scooby some love!
Rubber Chicken was one of my childhood stores in the 90s when it was in Milford, the next town over. I think the original owner’s son runs it now. Cool to see it again.
I used to love collecting old world’s finest comics as a kid at my lcs back where I grew up (no I’m not that old, but I’ve always collected antiques and collectibles)
I have the Dr. Strange skeleton comic, Avengers 144, and the Iron Man 118. The Superman's pet comic story sounds interesting. Great pick ups! Happy Holidays.
I believe the Worlds Finest book story about "small" creature was reprinted in an 80 page giant Worlds Fair just about six years later. Good pickups for prices.
My god. I would have come away with a short box of stuff from those bins. All those great bronze age marvel. Paying between 5 and 10e for ones like that on ebay all the time! Really need a trip to New England!
Stan Lee must have had nightmares trying to come up with names for all those monster shorts in the anthology titles like the pre-superhero Strange Tales. Or maybe the names came from his nightmares - Vandoom, Oomgah, Grottu and Dragoom just worked so well in those tales. World's Finest sure had some whacky stories. I highly recommend Showcase #83 and 84 for the art: Bernie Wrightson on pencils and Wrightson, Jeff Jones and Mike Kaluta on inks. What a team!
Just the fact that you have old 70s and 80s unbagged comics still is so crazy. Basically everything is accounted for here in Canada. There are no hidden gems anywhere like that anymore.
There are still finds like this in Canada, but it’s extremely common in the north east US. It’s a product of a large slow growing population and a contracting market interest.
if you want to read some crazy insane SuperSONS books - try the late 1960's Worlds Finest when Clark JR & Bruce JR are teenagers trying to rebel against their parents - so much like their fathers that their faces look very similar and their costumes are duplicates - what I assume was 2 middle age white guys writing about teens agers in the 1960s - crazy stuff in deed.
Do most comic shops you have been to grade the comics in the back issues bin and wall comics? Or do they leave it up to the customer. Enjoy your channel.
@@LoneWulfRick I’d say it’s 70/30. If they have graded books at all (many don’t) I’d say most are purchased that way and a limited number are sent in themselves
I'll have seconds and thirds of that hunting footage lol, great video!
@@doctorplagas for you, I’d make every video longer!

Would have loved to stumble on that Scooby Doo. That looked like it was in great shape!
Gotta complete your Werewolf by Night series Mike! Great read, so much fun and some great guest appearances.
Those $3 bins are nice!

I’m more of a Marvel guy, so really nice books on that front, but those two Worlds Finest were pretty darn cool, too.
Nice haul, I have that Marvel Age 2 as well.
Nice video Mike. These are the ones you do that I really love. Enjoy the hunting and finding gems at LM prices!
Man, some really good stuff rt there! Definitely would have hit the World's Finest, Iron man and Captain Marvel books!

Hi Mike, nice to see some DC books and a Gold Key Scooby Doo..and the price you paid, real Lunch Money comics! 😃
I own all the Nightmaster showcase issues. Nice find Mike!

Saying it again....super jealous of all the great stores that you have available to you. Keep up the amazing videos!
Looks as if you should get the Werewolf, Scooby & Nightmaster titles graded...an interesting selection throughout...
Love Bob Layton. His limited series on Hercules in space is awesome. Thanks for the content!
grab those SoS and what if books, easy sales.

Wow what a great shop! Definitely going on to visit list! And love love love the DC picks and the Marvel books weren't bad either
Seeing what's being offered on Ebay right now, I'd say that you got a great deal on that particular issue of Scooby Doo.
I believe the Worlds Finest book story about "small" creature was reprinted in an 80 page giant Worlds Fair just about six years later. Good pickups for prices.
Nightmaster plays a huge part in the comic called shadow pact in the mid 2000s at least i think it was mid 2000s lol

Ooh I need those Flash's!! ⚡
Great pickups. You definitely can not beat the price for those books. Happy holidays to you and your family.
The Scooby-Doo comic was your best pick up that day...the gold key ones are hard to find and very rarely in decent condition
That's how u spend lunch money 💰
Nightmaster is a great pickup ❤

Finding 10 cent comics at those prices is rare. Nice pickups. Maybe should have gotten more?
Cool pick ups.
