    Great review. Just to let you know, when cooking meat, there’s something called ‘carry over cooking’ which is simply a resting time where the meat continues cooking from its own internal heat. If you’d taken out the chicken, wrapped it in foil for 10 minutes, it would have continued cooking and reabsorbed the juices, giving you a much moister chicken. Next time you try this, set the chicken to the correct cooking time, and the chips to 5 minutes. Once cooking time is done, take out the chicken and wrap in foil on the cutting board. Put the chips back in after a shake for 10 more minutes, and you’ll have a really good meal. Use the 10 minutes to prepare the plates and make the gravy. Trust me 😊

    Nice review, I bought the Versazone which is the same concept. But if I'd known Ninja were releasing their own version I would have waited, Ninja just nails it on quality, ease of use, controls etc.

    Good review that shows us the disadvantage of this one drawer split into two compartments, most people want two drawers one reason is some foods need shaking whilst others don't, so use one drawer for shaking the other for your chicken, so this begs the question as to why can't they sell two separate drawers for those that want extra versatility, a great marketing strategy.

    Needs a built-in probe like the Foodi, otherwise, you'll end up faffing about like this every time you cook poultry... a competent chef would have allowed for resting time for the chicken, adjusted the match timing to account for that and it'd be fine. A significant part of the whole Air Fryer journey is that it is supposed to help the average person, not make things more difficult to judge. Add a probe and this would be a VERY good device...

    • @carpman6495
      @carpman6495 Рік тому +1

      it doesnt need a probe its easier with what he is doing as different parts of the chicken are different temps .I find this all the time doing chicken in the ninja ie one place always seems to be significantly cooler than others i have had nearly 90 in one spot but 68 i one particular spot .I even tried moving the chicken around and its never even .If you removed the chicken after testing a couple of spots some poor sod will be getting a unsafe piece of chicken

So this way it’ll be more versatile using three different types of drawers for different needs! Or if they should’ve made one larger drawer that fit the current 9.5L one!

      After using it for a good while now I recommended the two drawer one to my parents.
      Reasoning: the balance of advantage - the two drawer’s advantage of shake and tip-out serve outweighs the advantage of the large drawer.
      I have cooked very few dishes that require the large space whereas I often use the divider and scooping stuff out to serve is a pain.
      I would go with two drawer if I had to buy again.
