😢 I'm going to admit something I'm a disabled woman and I've been watching you guys and your friends for a little while and I just want you to know this is therapy to me and it's been very very helpful it's been so helpful my family is dead and I have no one other than these quilters to be friends with me thank you thank you I thank God for you😢❤
I have had my longarm a year and so far only quilted using the computer. I am psyching up to do ruler quilting and free motion. I have been quilting for years with rulers on my domestic machine, so not so concerned about rulers, but you make a simple stitch like this appear so easy that I am now less concerned about FMQ. Thanks so much!
This is a wonderful video! I recently bought a long arm and am getting ready to do my first quilt. You answered a couple of questions I had and I learned a bunch of things that will help me! Your thread breaking and your running out of bobbin thread were both an EXTREMELY helpful learning experience, as well as learning to leave my needle down and while advancing the fabric. When practicing, I’d been ending the stitching, advancing the fabrics, then restarting every time.
Great videos! I have a friend with a long arm machine…. I love making my top and then it goes to my friend and the rest is up to her as far as the batting, thread color and quilting pattern goes! I have no desire to invest in nor learn to long arm! I’m 72 years old… she always does a fabulous job of quilting my tops!
Love that you are showing how you easily do the quilting. After fmq on my domestic machine, I am getting a Bernina 24 on a frame and this is so good for me to watch!
OK you have just blew my mind. I've had a longarm for 10-11 years and the fear of God was put into me to never go right then come back left. I was told the machine would go up and down but not right to left. I was told when I got to the right side to tie off and return my machine to the left side and start again. Now I admit that info was given to me when I had my first longarm, a tin Lizzie. I've had my Juki QVP 2200 for maybe 6 years. I have just always followed the same rule. But boy if I can quilt as you just did in this video I could be a lot faster.
Thank you for this video today. I have had thread breaking issues for a couple of days now. I got a new machine and it doesn't like me. I finally put my old machine back on my frame and it did the same thing. So when your thread broke I was thinking it must be catching. I love watching you because you always teach me something. I did get my issue some what resolved. Now to put the new machine back on the frame and try again. By the way I loved the pattern you used it is great for that quilt.
Love how you load this machine! I’ve been sandwiching them on the bed and moving them to the machine! 😅. What do you have the batting on? Is it just in the box or is there a bar it’s on???? I’ve got to figure that out for my next project! This was so much easier than the way I learned to load my machine!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the long arm however I’d love to see more free motion quilting with a regular sewing machine. That’s all I have and can afford. Hope it’s possible 😊

right there with you in that I am down to one working eye. I haven't given up but it is getting harder. Quilting is my sanity.
❤
Bless your heart. ❤

You have come so far. Wish I could say the same for me but I continue learning from you Rob. Thank you.
Not seen the Juki before, looks like it moves really easy. Lovely quilt BTW❤
Finished my quilt yesterday. Turned out beautiful Thanks for the challenge
Hi I am doing triple duty, watching my grandson, doing 2 bible studies and binding a baby quilt

Thank you. You make it look so easy. Expensive toy for me!

I love quilt, making even though I’ve never made one. I always wanted to but I love to watch you work. It’s so soothing.
A good long arm quilting demo showing both the ease and hiccups. Thank you.

That was fun! Thank you, Rob.
PS I love that sign I don’t Like a quilt, when they pattern is sewn so small, but it flattens them
Thank you for sharing, I do like the Juki machine, it looks less complicated than some others .
What a great video! Thank you!❤😊
Thanks for this!
Merci pour cette video ! Un rêve pour moi une telle machine pour quilter ! un vrai plaisir d'en voir une fonctionner.
What frame are you using for your Miyabi?
I quilted with stars.
Interesting that you don't baste down the sides as you go ... any reason why not ??
Hey Rob ,I find that if all is drum tight I tend to get skipped stitches. Any suggestions?
Does your new worlds fabric come in backing widths?
Why doesn’t a long arm quilting machine have a larger bobbin
I’ve wondered the same thing
Rob thank you for sharing your long arm with us. Maybe your daughter could help you with the filming process? Make it a family affair. 😊
Maybe you can attach a camera to the throat of the machine that will capture the stitching as you go along?
Thank you very much for sharing. You have given me confidence to do longarming but do it manually. I feel I could do this.
