I lost my Dad last May and as soon as Justine started talking I broke. He was my best friend. I love the way Darren comforted and supported her. Sending big love❤️
I understand and wish you peace. My Dad passed in 2019, my mom passed a few months ago. It's... very difficult.

This is such a FANTASTIC idea for whoever thought up the 1 question / 1 shot TRY. I've enjoyed all of them but THIS one is my favorite by far!
10 SHOTS , 10 QUESTIONS episode should be every Monday as a regular until you get through all the Tryers. Great way to get to know the Tryer team. Great laughs!😂thanks!

Justine has THE most amazing accent EVER!! It goes like faster in places as she talks. But no matter what she is emphatic in everything she says. LOVE her accent!!
My heart goes out to Justine and Darren. My grandma, who was also pretty much my best friend, passed away in 2015. I don't know exactly what year I'd go back to, but I'd go back far enough that her health was doing ok and I could make even more wonderful memories with her. I would make a point of getting her recipes written down and recording her stories. I would also bring my boyfriend with me so they could meet. She would have absolutely loved him.
Y’all made me cry. Missing loved ones is so so hard.

I know! I lost my Maggie girl abruptly in 2020 at 13 and if I had a Time Machine I would 100% go back and give her some more hugs and play and tell her how great she was and that I still miss her everyday. I really felt for Justine and reared up a little during her story.
This was so special to watch it was like two best friends reacting to each other - or if not that, two people becoming two best friends. It's not fair the questions have changed but this is the best of this series so far.
I love when Darren and Justine are paired up, they get on so well together, great chemistry! Plenty of honesty and emotion in this shoot as well.
I LOVE Darren! He's prob one of my faves, due to his love of Whiskey and how excited he gets with them! And the fact he bought my Unicorn Bottle of Whiskey.

Darren, I understand your joy/pain with the Redbreast 27. I was given a 40-year Glenfiddich and I decided to wait for the appropriate occasion. That eventually became my 50th birthday...about 8 years after I received the gift. But it was totally worth it and it is still one of the finest whiskies I have ever tasted.
also sounds like he got it for a steal - the cheapest I can find $452, with most being in the $600-700 range

Good answers for the time travel question. The year that I became "older" than my older brother when he died (33) really hit me hard. It's a weird feeling hard to describe when that realization hits you. So yeah definitely go back in time before that.
I'm surprised that Darren didn't say he'd finally open that bottle of Redbird 27 on the day of the apocalypse. Guess he's going to keep that thing sealed right to the bitter end.

@@LindaC616 they might have. I honestly don't remember, I'm usually a bit drunk when I watch the TRY Monday alcohol themed videos. In any case, Martin has to be featured in one of these some day.
That would be interesting -- I feel like Martin, for one, definitely doesn't let his guard down, and instead mostly keeps up a silly or humorous facade... which, don't get me wrong, works well for the shoots he's a part of. But it'd be good to get to know what he's really like -- these 10 question videos have so far brought out a more genuine, more real side of the participants.
And then Paddy and Jayme
Dad says that a fact to impress someone is that butyl mercaptan gives skunks and their kin that famous odor. Another fact is that walleyes(fish) have tapitum lucidum in their eyes that helps them see in the dark.
Dad also wants to congratulate Darren on being a supportive gentleman when Justine got emotional about her father. A salute to Darren and a grandpa hug for Justine from my Dad.
Always loved Justine and Darren. Great idea to get to know more about them....and all the other TRYers'!

I love this series, and I love this pairing. Justine is so effortlessly charming and enjoyable to listen to and I love Darren's sense of humor and cutting but kind personality. His warmth with Justine when she was being vulnerable and sharing her emotions with us was so sweet.

At 13:30 is the exact feeling I had when I lost my grandparents and my uncle. I lost them over 7 years ago and all I wish I can do is have a good conversation with them with the knowledge I have now. I wish nothing but peace for all that have lost loved ones 🖤
