The framing of the platform looks like a bunch of kids were building a backyard tree house. Some of it was nailed and some of it was screwed together. also the clearance of the rocks wasnt a super great margin, honestly too close for my safety officer's opinion. Also no railings on the sides to prevent an accidental tumble from vertigo going onto the rocks below - see aforementioned not enough clearance margin while even running straight off the end. I dont like it, Ive seen some poorly built scaffolds, poorly built formwork work platforms, scaffolds made with 3 ladders at a 2 storey height, ive seen guys hanging off the edge of the roof head first at 3 storeys up with no fall protection, ive seen basically everything, and I do not like this. @@ct-gt2dt It seems pretty obvious to me that it’s not an endeavor chosen for its inherent lack of risk. A 70 foot dive, if not executed properly, can kill you. It would probably be better to fall and hit the ground if you don’t know what you’re doing. At least that way you won’t drown when you’re knocked unconscious or your back breaks. Rather than stick warning labels on absolutely every object in nature, a good rule of thumb is that if it looks dangerous, it probably is, and if you are unsure about something, then don’t do it. They don’t want idiots climbing on that platform who don’t intend to dive. Making it look safe would only encourage that, and probably cause more injuries and deaths than it would prevent.

That's over 70 feet. She's diving off of a 7-story building. I've jumped (not dove) off of a 10m platform before, and that was about as high as I think I would ever jump from. It would have to be life or death for me to even do a simple feet first jump from 21.4m, much less an incredible dive like hers. Bravo!
Please notice she is clever enough to do the right thing: land thexwarer on her feet (first). Why? Cause that is the most powerfull part of your body to safely land. Your arms will fold or hreak if yiu dive into the water surface.
I remember vividly when I was either 14 or 15 to have climbed, among other people, on top of a house on the seashore with the intent to dive into the water below. I no longer remember exactly how high it was, but I would estimate at least ten metres; however, once up there, I looked down and got very scared, and despite many verbal attempts from my acquaintances to get me to jump, I was too scared to do it and a guy put me on his back and climbed us back down, as I was also scared to climb back down due to it being a scary climb as well :)

I have a vendor rep that has made over 30 skydiving jumps and he said within the sport, "I don't know anyone who approaches that door who isn't a little scared." Went on to say that when the moment arrives where you no longer have any trepidation approaching the door - probably time to stop. Complacency causes mistakes.
@@mindeloman ah yes! I have heard that as well
I am dumbstruck by the fact that she did that! I would not even think about it because I'm afraid of heights! She is amazingly talented 😊😊
You could not get me to the edge of that platform with a gun to my head.
Diving is as much a "sport" as sitting in the bobsled going through the luge, gravity is doing most of the work. lol

If you do not have a way to change direction on the way down this stunt is insane.
@@bseidem5112 what do you mean if?
The height is literally near half that it looks like. Soo not even hard to get there or jump on. You just need to count how many seconds the towel takes to reach water. Pretty sad ppple keeps using the fish eye lens to fake dramatism. If they told that they using it everything should be nice and chill. But they dont, they fake It.
Red Bull’s motto: “Our athletes are dying to sell you our drinks”
I often wonder how many people have died or have been paralyzed for life because of Red Bull.
And the biggest craziness is that they do it themselves. From that height can jump, only a prisoner who has been sentenced to death, but it is given a chance to stay alive, if he will survive this jump.
@@swilhelm3180 are there numbers? Yikes!

How is confidence and courage so unequally distributed amongst of humanity? This would scare me shitless.
I can hardly watch her walking near the edge.
Its absolutely awesome what she is doing. But the Trick is selfcontrol and Little steps. 1m until you Are safe, 3m until you Are safe and continue the pattern. After thousands of jumps you simply dont care of the height anymore until the next height is coming and providing a challenge
I still haven't recovered from watching her. 😱😭
Do you think she woke up and went up there first time? Gradually increasing skill/height leads to confidence. Not rocket science
It's just about training, buddy.
I give you a 100 .. whole. I got butterflies, caterpillars and cocoons when you showed the view. 😂 fabulous!!
The framing of the platform looks like a bunch of kids were building a backyard tree house. Some of it was nailed and some of it was screwed together. I'd rather it be put together with bolts with flat and lock washers if I were going to make that leap of faith. That hundred pound girl has a bigger set of jewels then I ever did. If I were gonna die up there It'd be during the fight as they endeavors to throw me off that thing! I don't even know how a person gets into that sort of thing, but she's remarkably good at it and has a ton of courage. What a girl!
You're that one guy that puts 12 screws on a 3 screw job
also the clearance of the rocks wasnt a super great margin, honestly too close for my safety officer's opinion.
What ive learned in all my years in construction is that we have to play the game to the lowest level skill and aptitude on the job site. I used to call it adult daycare for mostly men to come and play with tools.
I got so dizzy just looking lol. She's so brave❤
They never talk about it, but you can tell they have to fight the absolute terror of jumping from that high, no matter how many times they've done it.
💯 back in my early twenties I jumped from the 9 meters platform and it was amazing, instantly went back up and of course I couldn't do it or the 6 meters, never again 😢
For me it's like skydiving, you get to the ground and wanna go right back up! Diving like that is the same, if you're an adrenaline junkie like me.

Yes, the 70-foot diving platform should be ADA accessible and OSHA compliant😂
Nah you’re right though. Unnecessarily sketchy.
Takes one mistake. Apparently the tough guys here don’t know.
It’s on the side of a cliff. My guess is you can’t get much better.

Bravo!
More like a 5 story building 👍
I jumped from a 10 meter but would not try diving.
@@backyardrenegade7158. Me too.
